I would start with Sonny,
I disagree. Every game is crucial considering all the usual suspects have strengthened including Arsenal, who are now sitting on top of the league with maximum points.. We cannot afford to dilly dally with sentiments. Anyway its Conte's call

Really need to win this one after no selling it to my forest mate...

He asked me how I thought we'd get on and I replied " Bloody hell have we got Forest, I saw you beat Grimsby in the week and figured you must still be league 1". I'm going to get some serious shit if they get anything out of this.

Love Sonny to bits, but he has been performing below the standard that he has set (being diplomatic here) so imo Richarlison should start. We bought him for that very reason, to let Son fight for his place. No one should be unrotationable
I said this in the thread ahead of the last game and it wasn't popular. ?

Having said that, do we think notts forest will attack us at all? Son could benefit if they are more adventurous.

Agreed, if Son was to start it literally defeats the whole purpose on why we spent 50m on Richarlison

Will they attack us? If they see you calling them ‘Notts’, their fans will probably come at you with torches and pitch forks.

I’d start the rotating today personally, with Richarlison coming in for Son and maybe rotate both wing-backs. There are other games coming up where we’ll want our strongest XI to start and the sooner we integrate Richarlison and Bissouma the better.

These games all look winnable until matchday and then the doubts creep in.

Today will be a real test to see if we are genuine contenders or simply also rans.

Forest supporters will make this a good atmosphere today and in Cooper they have a decent manager.

The good thing is, I believe Forest will come at us and that will suit our game. I just hope we don't waste the first half by allowing them to over run our 2 in central midfield. This is the part of Conte's method that worries and puzzles me. He seems very unconcerned when this happens like it did at Chelsea and last week at home to.Wolves. Maybe he trusts the players to sort it out themselves?

After the results yesterday, I feel 3 points are a must today. With our firepower I hope Forest try to stand toe to toe with us.

I'm going 1-3 to London's Finest.

Totally agree. I just dont understand why we allow teams to dominate. It's baffling.

I want to see us on the front foot but I’m fearful it won’t happen, like the previous 3 games starts.

We need to start starting games well.

I think someone will say this pretty much every time we play :D

The minute we don't get a result there will be absolute carnage in the house of the flying knee.
I hate laughing at other people’s jokes, mostly because I have a small dingdong and I’m profoundly insecure but fuck me this is good

I would like to see Richarlison start but not just purely to drop Son, but I think it will be a game where we'll have to earn the right to play with a bit of grit and I think Richarlison will give us more of that, as well as the ability to hold the ball up better.

Honestly though, I think we'll see the exact same team as last week.

The slow starts have been happening since 2018, with a few exceptions, so I wouldn't hold your breath!

I'm really not sure what the reason is. We just don't seem to get up for it until after half-time. My personal opinion is that the slow starts have coincided with us moving away from being a high pressing team. I think it causes the players to struggle in terms of their approach. The low block is sort of like a halfway house, you need to be aggressive to make things happen offensively but because you aren't pressing up the pitch you are essentially waiting for the opposition to attack the space you are occupying. It invites pressure and concedes too much territory. I'm not a fan.

We need to win tomorrow to stay with the early pace setters in the league. Any kind of win will do but a good win will send a message.

Thinking back, it is a theme and the last time we had a period of fast starts is that last season or two at WHL. I dont expect a fast start but would like to put a controlled performance where we are not defending in our own third and struggling to get the ball or create anything and certainly dont want to go to 46th minute before our first choice.

I think Forest will come at us which in turn will create opportunities to attack on the counter... will be an open game for sure

Think it just comes down to not being good enough on the ball in defence and midfield. Struggle to play through pressure and the ball just gets recycled or lost with a percentage ball. When the game gets stretched later on we’re generally better. I’m expecting more of the same today if we start the same team especially

It always makes me laugh as to why they object to being called Notts Forest. They call themselves the Nottingham club. I studied in Nottingham and lived there for a couple of years after finishing my studies at university, and played in a weekly 7 a side team where I can vouch for many of the locals dislike for being called Notts Forest and Derby who were nearby down the A52 but the irony is this :

Notts County who are the County team are in Meadows which is in the Nottingham City Borough.

Nottingham Forest are just outside the Nottingham City Borough and situated in the borough of Rushcliffe in West Bridgeford which is in Nottinghamshire county.

So geographically they are Notts Forest and the locals don't like it, and Forest which is referred to in their name as meaning the Sherwood Forest is in North Nottinghamshire.

Although they don't like it, I've yet to meet a local who can logically explain why they shouldn't be called Notts Forest rather than Nottingham Forest.

If rumours are to believed Romero who earlier in the week was said to be in with a shout of making this one is now apparently being ruled out.

I hope I've not put the mockers on it but I think he shouldn't be rested anyway and think we should have enough in the tank to get the 3 points without him.

I will be far more concerned by his absence from West Ham game. I'm not putting stock on them scoring a goal in the PL yet. I hope they score today, I dontvwant all the pressure being on West Ham to score their first PL goal against us. They don't need an excuse to be fired up against us, but if they go into the home game against us midweek pointless and goalless they and their fans, with new signings to unveil will be even more fired up and motivated for our trip there.

I personally think I’m the last few games the gap between the front three and the midfield has been too deep/large. I.e. the midfield is sitting a little bit too deep.
