Too old, not sure he's got too many more years left in him as a manager. Sign up Gylfi to replace Poch, he's younger and he'll give us more years in the hot seat than Rafa will be able to manage.
With the complete rebuild we have to do, the little money that will come in sales, no CL revenue and Daniel Levy as chairman who would snap anyones hands off for 200m for Kane to fund the rebuild and leave us worse off since he’s allergic to actually investing in the squad, it is an impossible job. Levy’s negligence has left us in such bad shape for the future
I don’t know if anyone remembers this but it’s been in my head while people were busy rolling around laughing at what a failure he is after two games: Lampard, unfortunately, has a really high IQ.* i know. Appalling. But true. That doesn’t make him an astute manager, or detract from the abysmal taste that characterises the way he talks about things, nor does it take away from the fact I will always regard him a disgusting piece of shit for the time he announced that it makes him ‘angry’ when people say footballers earn too much and they deserve every penny. However, since I found that out I started filtering out his godawful estuary-gone-flat, and between the stinging cliches he‘s much more articulate than any other footballer, and if you watch him, he‘s very internal, absorbs things and when they emerge again from him they’re reshaped by unusual consideration. Normally, while he’s doing this the dead air is being filled by rio and the rest‘s hooting and bellowing.
*I couldn’t believe it when I first heard this but they ran various mental tests on footballers in order to investigate the potential effects of heading te ball all the time, and were surprised to find, incidentally, frank has an extremely high iq - not just high but anomalously so, so I’d imagine 150 or above. The researcher doing the tests said it was higher than his. This at least proves intelligence has very little to do with qualities I think more worthwhile (intuition, taste, feel..) as he’s a fucking cabbage and probably the archetypal met bar patron
Lampard may well be the exception to the rule, but I think we all know if footballers were paid for purely for their brains 99% of them would be paid at the same rate as the rest of us.

Didn’t he meet Ramos while jol was in charge?Dumb question but you’re Daniel Levy and you currently have a manager in the middle of the season, why are you meeting a potential successor in public for all to see and destroy whatever goodwill currently exists between high level folks at club? I don’t buy that he met with Ancelloti.

Yes not sure I believe this one, but if it is levy’s intention to sack Poch he would have sounded out somebody by now, also I thought sacking Poch last week was a non runner as it could have potentially had a negative effect on those players on international duty. If he is to be sacked at all before the West Ham game it will be by 1pm tomorrowDumb question but you’re Daniel Levy and you currently have a manager in the middle of the season, why are you meeting a potential successor in public for all to see and destroy whatever goodwill currently exists between high level folks at club? No Champions League revenue? I'm sorry but I must have missed us getting eliminated and cast into the dustbin of the Ropey League. When did that happen then? You've also forgotten to mention the deal we've done for 3 matches with the NFL. How much extra revenue has that afforded us?
And the 'complete re-build' we need to do is only (in my opinion) 5 players. Lloris, Toby, Jan, Aurier and Rose. I would argue we already have our replacement for Eriksen in Lo Celso, who looks like an excellent upgrade even in the few games he's played for us so far.
So you reckon Levy would 'snap anyone's hand off for £200 million for Kane' do you? Seriously? The club's biggest singular footballing asset? Clearly, I have far more faith in Levy's ability to run and maintain one of Europe's top football clubs than you do. I fully appreciate that may not be a popular view amongst some Spurs fans but that's my view anyway.

Yeah.. sure...
Was a wee joke lol.
