There's going to be a lot of confirmation bias in the analysing of Ange's body language, one way or the other.

Just been doing a bit of lip reading watching the Scottish final. Hart asked Postecoglou “How can you leave this?” He replied “I can’t.”
I lip read it as "Easily. But I can't leave you, Joe."

Monday:

"The club is delighted to finally announce the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as head coach of our men's team, on an 18-month contract with a break clause this Christmas."

"Ange has won titles in Australia, Japan and - most recently - the treble in Scotland; all far more competitive leagues than Argentina and especially the Netherlands."

"The outstanding candidate on our list of one, Ange was definitely our first and only choice. In fact, we didn't speak to any manager before appointing Ange, including Ange."

"Ange brings with him Joe Hart, who becomes our new club captain and deputy captain. Joe's leadership will be invaluable given Harry Kane's departure for Manchester United earlier this morning."

"We're also pleased to confirm Ange's backroom staff. The assistant coach, fitness coach, defensive coach, goalkeeping coach, tactical analyst and smash-in-case-of-emergency positions will all be filled by Ryan Mason on his current salary."

"Chairman Daniel COYS Levy commented: 'We welcome both Ange and the temporary hiatus of the Next Manager thread on Spurs Community. I had a fantastic meeting with Ange yesterday and he fully understands his responsibility to reintegrate Tanguy Ndombele into the first-team squad. That guy cost a fucking bomb and I'm not writing it off.' "

Ultimately there’s nothing more he can win at Celtic. Whereas he has the chance now - and maybe now only - to prove himself in the biggest league in the world.

I know there is a bit of back and forth atm but I've got to say I find the 'being positive just for positive sake' posts just as annoying and tiresome as the overly negative ones (and they are bloody annoying too!).

At this stage, I feel like there is no point trying to convince yourselves or others of anything, as like we saw with Slot, it can all change in a second. Lets just hope this gets sorted within the next week as this thread is almost as tiresome as our actual Manager hunt is.

I also find it amusing that those that are positive constantly cry that they should allow to be positive whilst not allowing those who want to be negative to do so.

We just had the worst season in 14 years which was the culmination of a 4 year slide since the CL Final. Of course people are going to be negative.

If you want to be positive in spite of the facts I don't begrudge anyone that. Despite it all, I try to cling to some positivity. But persons are allowed to react to what's in front of them.

I get the impression Levy and his board of Bellends know this is a huge appointment and they think by taking their time and “assessing all options” they are doing the right thing

Which it is. At HSB fucking C. Not at a football club

Also at his age and at this point in his career he’s probably more likely to make the move to us and to the PL whereas a 44yr old Slot living in his home country with 2 young kids at a comfortable project with Feyernoord in CL next season for the first time is a lot harder to leave.

Tbh I’m not that fussed if it’s Big Ange or L.Enrique I’d be happy with either, if it’s someone else other than Naglesman or Gallardo and/or it drags on past the end of next week then I’d start to worry big time.

Let’s see… 🤞

Ange evaded the question, post match which tbh he would be liable to do under any circumstances unless he was absolutely 100% positive he was staying at Celtic. Even then he may have evaded it !

This thread shows there’s a lot of passion, & pissed offed-ness about our manager search…. @Hercules @Trix & @Hotspur88 have all shared their incredulity at how things are from behind the scenes. I’ve also shared things with them & @Rob et al about things I’ve been told from top sources that echo their shared info.
It’s both good & bad getting insider info: exciting when things are positive; but ever so depressing when there are not. I’m relatively pragmatic… I support spurs thru thick & thin, and I’ll continue that way… under Enic we’ll never be in the mix on the footballing side unless Daniel hands over control; from what I do know, just in relation to the stadium planning & local infrastructure tge build brought, that will never happen. I feel we’re all really effing exhausted with the footballing displays - this is a direct result of chairman meddling.
im always optimistic about a new manager. Ange? I don’t know. But I don’t like to see ‘in-fighting’ among the SC folk I know are decent individuals. What am I saying? Let’s use our collective energy & ire toward those that create the difficulties; and not against each other. Although I can concur on tge frustration front. Peace ✌🏽

Refused to answer or what he say?

Something along the lines of …

“ I’m sorry but I’m not going to answer your question, just now I just want to concentrate on enjoying this moment, and that’s what I’ll be doing until such a time as I have to go away and talk to people to sort out my future ( ie Celtic or Spurs ) “

Been on the Celtic forums, they all seem to think he is off. All mention about their striker Kyogo. 2 years left on his deal and will be joining him. May tie in with Kulu not being completed ?
Looks decent. Would be happy if he accompanied Ange were he to come. Would be a nice option.

I think it's clear something is happening but it was also clear with Slot and that went wrong.

Going to be an interesting week that's for sure.

More likely Kane replacement? Sorry not the thread for this comment

Obligatory "apologies if already posted" but some of the talking points in here are very impressive.

Particularly around both attacking and defensive stats before and after he joined, the chnage in mindset of the team and the fact he had to do a rebuild and instil a culture and bed new players in. You can, at the very least, see why he would be very high up on any list of considered targets.
