And here I was thinking Spurs were just waiting until the weekends to piss me off these days. Looking forward to losing against Leeds now to distract me from this disappointment.

as long as club got a plan about who we want to be and what type of manager we are after.

In some ways, maybe this all getting worse and worse is the only way we bottom out and see Levy have to resign as chairman at the very least.
He'll never resign. He doesn't see himself as the problem. He's pretty clearly a giant narcissist that sees himself as the hero of the story and a victim in all this.

The only way this ends is if Joe or Vivienne Lewis removes him. As for what it would take for them to do that I don't have a fucking clue.

Basically 3 ways ENIC/Levy would go.

1) someone comes in with a huge enough offer to sway Lewis and therefore Levy

2) we’re out of Europe for so long and sit mid table losing value and big sponsorships, so they sell whilst commercially still attractive

3) or, relegation.

I think really nothing will change at Spurs until Joe Lewis passes away. That would be an opportunity for change. But even then that could result in Levy increasing his power base, in which case you can write off any chance of success for most of our lifetimes.

Really hope the reason it broke down is because Slot doesn’t want to come for some reason, but if it is because we didnt want to pay the money for him, then ive lost every hope for this club.

I know expecting us to go for Nagelsmann, Spalletti or gamble on the celtic guy. Dream would be to steal Poch before chelseas eyes but that will probably never happen.

If we end up with Rodgers or Potter im 100% done with this club. Atleast until Levy walks.

Hang on, are we sure it's the compensation that is the stumbling block with Slot (appreciate that's the media narrative) and not the suggestion that he wanted to ship out the older players for a rebuild? I'm not sure how that question can be answered, but while either option is concerning I think the latter possibility is more so because it implies Levy is looking for a manager to work with what's there, and that he doesn't recognise we have a bunch of different issues and need to refresh more comprehensively.

Seems to me that the best thing we can do now is probably focus on appointing a DoF, then let them and Munn take over the manager search to mitigate the baggage our board comes with.

At a certain point, he may have it taken out of his hands, or see his family’s nest egg shrinking if he doesn’t. I never underestimate the chaotic nature of these kinds of things. When this kind of money is involved things can change quickly.

Only glimpse of redemption and reprieve from the protests next season is going back in for Nagelsmann. Whether he's right decision or not, is another question.

I suspect we'll fumble around the next suitable manager like Ange, fuck him off, and repeat through various other cycles, until we land at Potter or Rodgers.

I said ages ago, if we found out the Club didn't do their DD on Paratici, Levy's positioning was untenable. It subsequently came to fruition we didn't. Now another managerial shitshow.

I want Rodgers.

It's been fun watching our fans struggle to spell the name of our foreign players, despite them being here for years.

Watching us fail to spell as common a surname as Rogers, will bring me a little joy.
Not sure if two different spellings is deliberate… :cautious:

The big issue now is it doesn’t matter who comes in they will be viewed as our second choice and this already starts poorly with players and others having more power.

imagine in your job if publicly you’re employer courts a new manager for your team then gets turned down and they chuck someone else in you’d already think ahhh this guy wasn’t even the one they wanted
