Fair point but this time it feels different as we are in a different place as a club than we were back then.

He was the one candidate I felt I could really get behind. To go from Conte to one of others leaves me pretty cold I have to say. Levy had the chance to seriously right a huge catalogue of wrongs here. Really, really disappointing.

Yes, he seems to be too old to levy it seems as he is okay to have 31 year old mason in charge. Hopefully he puts one of our under 15 players in charge of the team to instil some modern innovative ideas.

This may finally just send me over the edge as a fan, I think. I hope to look like a dipshit in a couple years time, when whoever we appoint somehow works out and we are happy again. But this just feels like the end of the line for me. I’ve tried to keep a positive outlook as much as possible, but I can’t think of any scenario where this is a decision made with football in mind, and that’s what is making me so frustrated.

This will just goes to show. No matter what the fans shout at to Levy. He'll show us all he's the boss and do what he likes

Feyenoord win the Dutch league this weekend and we announce Arne Slot early next week.

Tbf he is the only name that has been consistently linked. Enrique, Naggelsman, Amorim pop up intermittently but Slot seems to have been on the shortlist the whole time.

According to reports we have been having conversations/interviewing over the last couple of weeks so maybe we’ve settled on Slot.

Also, maybe we realise it might take a bit longer to get a DOF and are not prepared to wait around to see if Nagglesman wants the job when we’ve found one. It could be that Slot is prepared to start the job without a DOF so it allows us to announce him as soon as the season ends.

All ifs and buts I know but I’m not convinced that the story is that we flat out don’t want Nagglesman without speaking to him first.
