Lets hope we have a CB other than Bassong fit to partner Kabaul for the Blackburn match.

I knew as soon as Bassong came on that we would let in a goal or two.

Walker was at fault for the second, and I would say he was affected by the injury, but he didn't seem to be suffering to much when he went on that forward run.

Everone looked very tired in the last 30 mins.

I question why we never brought on fresh legs, why not townsend out wide right or left to keep the pressure on them with his pace? Everyone was clearly nackered.

LOL. Of the 23 people on the field he probably did his job better then any of them.

So I guess Spurs didn't win means ref was a total ****.

LOL no. He was constantly giving fouls against us and then allowing them to get away with identical offenses. I can judge for myself whether he was a **** or not without you telling me it's because we didn't win. If we would have won I'd have still said he was a ****.

Good but not the open goal that either Livermore or Adebayor had if he knocked a 5 yard square pass :bang:

Adebayor was actually a difficult pass for him on reflect, although my first instance before he shot was that he should have chipped it to him. Livermore was well placed and he should have laid it off.

Adebayor too should have played it through to Defoe whilst we were 2 -1 up and we could well have gone home not only with three points but in fourth place.

A disappointing day all round, but the biggest concern is HOW LONG WILL LEDLEY BE OUT?

Disappointing to lose the lead twice, we still show a lack of concentration at crucial times, but a point away, against an in-form team, after an international break, its not too bad.

It does show there is room for improvement and we still can't get a system that best uses our players currently available. But its not a result to get really upset about. Missed opportunity, lesson to learn, but lets keep going.

To be honest I thought the ref was a bit of a ****, and their first goal virtually came from him getting in the way of one of our passes and giving the ball to Newcastle, the twat.

Still, was disappointed by our performance today, after the opening 10-15 minutes we failed to properly ever take hold of the game and our big players weren't performing at all. If we were more clinical though, we could have won this game quite comfortably in the end though to be honest.

Thought Townsend should have come on for Bale really, was really poor today and the option of Lennon would have been nice but we lost the game in the centre of midfield today.

I'm hoping what Harry will learn from this match is that Modric needs to be central, either in the hub of the side or ideally slightly further up field as his talents of a playmaker are wasted wide and also provides little defensive nous to help out the full back.

A fully fit Sandro would have been greatly appreciated in a game like today as we struggled to dictate play for any great length of time, coupled with a below par game from Parker.

Like everyone else am disappointed we let the lead go twice. But too be honest at start of the game I would have taken a point. Newcastle are looking pretty good this season. They have no real star players but they have some real battlers in that team who work incredible hard.

As for our performance today I thought we were actually pretty poor. Bale & Van der vaart were both annoumous for most of the game & Benny had one those games he has every so often. I just hope Ledleys injury isn't too serious as Bassong is a complete liability.

i agree. why was a foul given against modric for being brought down by gutierrez?

'Cause the ref was a ****. But, he might not be, it might just be that my simple little brain can't comprehend when a referee makes consistent errors favouring the home side in a big hostile stadium because Spurs didn't win.

Yep. Because god forbid the ref be allowed to make a few errors on the hundreds of decisions they make every game. When there was a big decision he got it right. When our players had big decisions they didn't get them all right. Hell if they got half of them right we win the game.

But yep, lets blame the ref instead.

Acting impartial doesn't mean you're right. He fucked up loads, not saying he cost us the game or we should've won, stating my opinion that he was shit. Did I blame the referee? Pretty sure I didn't say we'd win if he wasn't a ****, just said that he was a ****.

Theres 20 foul decisions every game that no matter which way it goes the other teams fans think it should have gone the other way. You think he was poor. I think it was the best game by a ref in the entire league that I've seen this year. Different opinions I guess.

I probably do notice it more when it's against Spurs to be fair. But I certainly don't think it was that good of a performance by him, he could/maybe should have given them a penalty later in the game as well for the handball.

Never got this attitude. The guys one of the fastest rising refs in England. You don't get the big games by "evening it up", you get them by making the correct decisions.

Not this.

This.

Don't think Refs have to even up correct decisions.

Not this.

A partisan crowd made it very clear that they disapproved of the penalty decision, and I honestly felt that he spent the rest of the game favouring them with his decisions - and the penalty decision was 100% correct in the first place.

They definitely got most of the decisions but you expect that away from home especially with 50,000 whinging geordies on your back.

After the pen I think the ref defo favoured the home team. But I believe we are missing a lot of the injured players like Daws Azza Sandro besides loosing Charlie and Kranky. Also Walker after the injury was playing at 50% of his ability. Again he could not do overlapes as Luka can't defend properly. Hope the coming week we recoup a couple of injured players.
