I thought we were cutting down on the use of plastic at the new stadium?

Also, hi Spurs, season ticket holder here who unfortunately couldn’t afford to go back to the Park Lane. Thanks for making me feel like a proper second class citizen. There are three other stands as well.

Same email says we aren’t allowed to stand. Good luck with that.
I wonder if that was the reason they left the first 2 rows empty - to make it less obvious what was going on for those watching on TV.
That also explains why those rows were sold to the away fans - they will always stand and that seems to be accepted at all/most grounds.

If that is the reason, then surely they could sell the tickets to fans in these prominent rows with the understanding that they seriously seriously need to be seated for political/safety reasons. That is a small price to pay for front row seats.

I hear the West Stand will be delivering a spectacular display of waving £50 notes in the air.

If you get the train to seven sisters do you have to queue again for the underground?

If I were to duck out of the match a few mins early would it be best to take the train then the underground or walk very fast there?

Ive never left a match early before in my life but nearly missed the last train home on weds and this match is 15mins later.

Apparently the front two rows of the North and South Stand were left unsold due to sight lines possibly blocked by camera men. For the City match they have sold the 2nd rows, but still left the front rows unsold.

Seems odd to me that they hadn’t factored this issue in during the design stage. Long term it’s inconceivable to me that the front rows remain unavailable, even if the end result is that they become “restricted view” tickets sold at a reduced price.

Doubt it as you’ll already be in the underground station.

In terms of transport for tomorrow, better to get the tube to seven sisters then train to WHL station or the tube to Tot Hale then train to Northumberland Park?

We were on the train from Liverpool Street last Wednesday and when we got to seven sisters hardly anyone coukd get on the train it was so full. I’d be very cautious about trying to get on the train ther to WHL.

The sight lines are probably only partially blocked when the fans in these rows are seated.
It will not be an issue when safe standing is formally permitted for home fans.

Plus once the media lose interest in the ground, then I'm sure the club can be more flexible in selling these seats.

What he said. Same after the game as well from WHL back to SS. Unless your mobility is restricted, I would suggest walking. It's only 15-20mins straight down the High Road.

No queues, you go down the stairs from the Overground and do not need to go through any barriers before getting to the escalators down to underground the actual platform may be full but there are no barriers to go through .

Pretty sure the Trust posted that it wasn't to do with sight lines, and was more to do with the fact that we didn't want to open everything up immediately. So we held a few more seats back just to make sure everything is all good. Club said that it's very unusual for a stadium to open immediately with all the seats available. So over the coming games we should expect to see those seats sold and filled.

I can't believe you didn't go inside and watch it on a huge screen. I go every year at least once to Vegas staying at the Bellagio and I have never missed a game there on a screen about 15 foot by 10 foot. I am sure all the main hotels show all the games in their sportsbook.

I am going on 29th April this year and will be watching the Bournemouth away game, plus possibly two Champions League semi's, which will be a little gutting to miss being at.

I watched the Liverpool game in sports bar out there which was decent, the Palace game was my last full day in Vegas and planned to spend the whole day poolside actually relaxing and enjoying the weather, not boozing, gambling or walking haha.

There are no sightlines issues with the front rows at the stadium but there were TV cameras on the west side of each goal at pitch level. The front rows of east ,west stands & away section were all occupied and if you go on Spurs TV highlights of the Palace game if you go in 2:07 into the highlights you can see about four Palace fans all choosing to sit watching the game in the front row , if they can see from that side of the goal then it must be the same the other side of the goal but there was a TV camera on the other side which maybe would have partially blocked views.

I may be a little late in this, but could the 'no standing' email have been prompted by UEFA? I know we have a standing ban in the UK too, but we all know what UEFA are like when it comes to trying to impose every rule? Maybe the club don't want to fall foul of UEFA...?

Palace was all very exciting. Wonder how long it will take for normal routines to kick in.

Take my good self as an example. I travel down from the east midlands. Will be a long work day and will jump on the train to London. I’ll definitely need something substantial to eat to keep me going, and won’t have much time...so going to avoid the huge queues in the stadium, gonna find somewhere outside to eat...so that’s one body less!

Quite worried about the journey home. A late 8pm kick off and If the tube stations get closed off again I will be stuffed and might miss the last train back.
