I love Modric. Love him. Great player.
However if he was sold, and I may be on my own with this one, I don't think it would be a disaster as we have Van Der Vaart and Kranjcar who could both play in their favoured position behind the striker. Equally they could both play with Modric in a midfield 3.
Would I accept selling Modric if it meant we signed Rossi, Falcao and Vucinic for example? Yes probably.
I agree, Modric to me is one of the most fantastic players I've ever seen in a Spurs shirt, he has an abundance of talent and could play in the best teams in the world. As much as I wish his ambition was hand in hand with our club, I have a feeling that he will be off - and I wouldnt mind if he was replaced with goal scoring talent. If he went then Kranjcar could play in his role, and although he wouldnt have the same playmaking talent, he would score more goals... Hudd could sit in the middle as the playmaker.
If we got 45 million for him like the papers are touting today, we could easily pick up Llorente and Rossi
