Looked a bit edgy from a couple of corners and was beaten from distance. To be fair though I think Nakamura's goal would have beaten anybody...terrific strike.
Robbo wouldn't have got near it and he'd have SC in uproar about his positioning and his cumbersome movement and lack of anticipation and awareness.

Just watch Nakamura's goal in the old firm match tonight and he definately reminds me of Robbo
Fuck off - no keeper would have got near that freaky shot. Nakamura sliced across the ball and put enough swerve on it that it would have eventually landed back at his feet if the net hadn't stopped it.

To be fair Robbo's positioning has been poor for a few of the long range goals he's conceded this season (most notably from free-kicks).

Obviously sometimes a shot is just unstoppable but when you concede so many goals from distance you do have to look at the keeper.

But that Nakamura strike was insane...it went in 8 different directions at once.

This aint about Robbo necessarily but the closing down by defence and in particular the midfield has to be taken in to account. Robbo may be flummoxed by long range shooting but the game plan should be to prevent long range shooting.

Definitely agree with that and I'm sure we've conceded loads more from distance since Carrick left because nobody sits in that position to prevent it.

But Robbo should still do better with a number of those that he concedes.

Well well well............ a goal conceded from distance.

Blame is a moot point here, anything from distance is Robbo's, erm, sorry, the keepers fault. 'tis established SC policy.

Agree with you on that, we allow other teams to much time to shoot and do not close the space fast enough, Robbo has made mistakes but to blame him for every shot from distance is wrong.

All of this is of course somewhat off the point which is Mr McGregor.

Hard to gain too much insight on him from that 45 mins. He made a good brave stop at the striker's feet at one point and seemed to get better at dealing with corners as the half went on. The goal was just ridiculous so we won't let that count against him.

Just based on that he doesn't look overly commanding in his area but to be fair Robson has been putting in some good corners which most sides would struggle with. Let's see what the second half brings.

Right- outside you lot.

Are we going to have to give you a 24 hour ban?

Anyways, outside shots should be blamed on both the midfielders for not closing down and the goalkeeper for getting beat.?.?.? Seriously, those shots shouldn't be allowed to happen but better lines can help stop them. Oh well, my problem with Robinson is the inabilty to protect his area from a cross, set-piece, or corner. Oh well, I start swimming across the pond and meet you outside later...

Blimey amazing what sort of reaction my tongue in cheek comment made but, yes that shot from Nakamura was crazy but, remember some of the dullards on here would have blamed Robbo for that going in.

McDonald showed him which way he was going to shoot. Shocking penalty. :-( Average save.

Got injured a bit too easily for my liking. Not the sort of nancy we want at Spurs.

Good stuff. I would hate to think a short keeper could actually save a pk. It throws my entire argument out the window.

back up keeper surely?

Not a hope in hell. McGregor is one of the best keeper's I've seen in a long time. If Spurs get him as their number 1 it'll be a tremendous buy. You're having a laugh if you think he's a backup keeper.

Prefer us to have a non-english goalie, they all seem to lack the mentality. This bloke from Rangers is not even Scottish no.1 surely he can't be that great. Hope we get a spanish or Italian goalie.

People's ignorance of the Scottish game never ceases to amaze me.

He's not Scotland's number 1 because Scotland's number 1 is the 3rd most expensive goalkeeper of all time. Besides, in my opinion McGregor is better than Craig Gordon.
