"Spurs have been monitoring Icardi, who could be available for £2million, but it is believed if the young Argentine does leave, it will be for a team where he will play regularly.
This could be a problem at Tottenham, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe already deputising up top for the Champions League hopefuls."

Striker - Sampdoria - 19 y.o. We were linked a few times at the beginning of the window, and yesterday he went out and banged in four goals against Pescara in Serie A. For a young striking option we could clearly do a lot worse, especially if the mentioned £2m fee is anywhere close to true.

Would happily accept both Obiang (replace Sandro short term and Parker longer term) and Icardi as another srttiking option, especially if the deal is likely to be that low it appeals to Levy (plus with their age, there is always potential for a sell on fee, Levy's favourite).

*Scores four goals on the weekend*

*Linked with Spurs*

And to think journalists say they have a tough job.

If he really is only £2m then we'd be stupid not to go for him frankly. 7 goals and 1 assist in 10 starts in Serie A at the age of 19 speaks of frightening potential, even if 4 of them came yesterday.

We'd still need another striker who is more PL ready but surely this is a no brainer?
