Kaboul out and Nastasic in would indeed be great. Nastasic won't have to be registered as one of the 25 until next season either, so that would make room for another player.

They might want to get rid of players simply to apply to Financial Fair Play Regulations, as the case seems to be if they move for Falcao today. This is the case for other clubs too: Zenit can't register Javi Garcia for CL, if they don't sell out to generate some income.

Plus, he's left-footed, and Vertonghen is the only left-footed CB we have.

This would require too much upheaval to happen imo.
Looking at squad even after Fryers goes I think we've got too many defenders.

RB - Naughton Walker

We need two for every position it's one too many especially considering Stambouli or even Capoue could play CB in absolute emergency.
I think one of the above is leaving tomorrow.

Would sell Naughton and Chiriches for around £12M and bring Nastasic.

I'm all for keeping Vlad if it isn't for a top CB like Nastasic, and it won't happen so pretty happy with what we've got.

hopefully this is true, i'm a big fan of kaboul in the past but yesterday he was bad and has been quite inconsistent over the last year. He just doesn't seem to be the kaboul we bought second time. more like the one who joined us as a young player.

Can't see this one happening. If Poch thinks Kaboul is a liability we'd have seen a move much earlier than September 1st. I'd love to sign him though. Really would be a terrific acquisition.

SSN mentioned Nastasic with Everton this morning too, if he goes there, coupled with utd signing Falcao it just highlights how poor a transfer window we might have had compared with the clubs we are competing against.hoping im proven to be very wrong.

SSN is full of shit generally, on the last day of the window they make a lot of stuff up to fill the slots. Us being linked to Puyol a few years ago and I think there was one last year that was widely reported as dead in here that they dragged it on till the last minute.

He didn't really have a choice with Kaboul, considering Chiriches was injured, Dier on the right, and Dawson to Hull.

A loan with an option to buy is not a bad thing - worked out ok with Ade in terms of value. It would mean we sell or loan out Kaboul or Churchy though imo
