A loan at Leeds or somewhere like that would be great for him.
Maybe Fulham ? Scotty Parker, decent club, a little good faith gesture after we buy Sessengnon ???

Nah, get him back and give him a run in the League Cup and against the relegation fodder. Poche has a good record at putting his youth players in the first teams.
He does, but it seems as though he's selective. If Edwards is 20, there are younger players Poch has given more game/bench time too than him. Suggests he's not decided on him yet.

I find this sad. Surely we should be giving him a chance for a season in the first team squad. It's not like we're stacked with options, given that GKN and VJ are clearly off, and they weren't playing anyway. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But if it works, we've saved ourselves a ton of money and potentially have a new star. It's quite obvious by now they have to be a certain type of person for Poch to allow them in to the first team picture. The honest toiler, ultra loyal, teachers pet type of person - usually found in midfield water carriers (see Winks, Skipp, Marsh, Mason, Bentaleb before they fell out, etc) with a few other exceptions such as KWP.
I also think Poch possibly sees the centre of the park, usually thought of in football as the key battle ground that you must wrestle control of, as where he can afford to drop people in. They have people in front of them to provide the quality/impact in front of goal and the security behind them in defence to protect and mop up. The centre of the park is maybe also seen as the best place to inject a dose of youthful enthusiasm and desire.
Added to that there have been a couple of snippets of info that have come out of the academy that people have been told that if you're an attacking player in the youth system then it will take a miracle to get a chance/look in at first team level.
I'm pleased it's not just me, that can never make sense of most of these graphs and fucking scribbles that are posted. You can all say he needs to go on loan teams to like Fulham or Leeds, from what he did this season he still isn't anywhere near the standard to be of any use to those clubs. Either you are misunderstanding the quality at the top of the Championship or you're rose tinted on how well he has played this year, he still looks like a youth player flitting in and out and lacking composure at the end. He didn't stand out in a Dutch team that nearly got relegated.
It might all fall into place and it suddenly clicks but as he is now we need to be realistic, even though someone made a garbage graph that shows precisely jack shit of anything. I'd love to be wrong, though as far as i remember it has never ever ever happened.
Am i reading the graphic right, he had a close to 100% tackle success rate? Wonder how many tackles he attempted?
Still looks very good for him on the defensive side of things!
no, it means he was in the top 1 percentile of all players in the eredivisie for that particular stat, same for dribbles. his total tackles puts him at about 18% of all players so he didn't attempt loads but when he did he won them at a higher rate than pretty much any player, does seem like a bit of a statistical quirk though.
Sadly it does not read like he’s likely to develop with us.Interesting interview with Marcus Edwards

I think Sam Shashoua and Marcus Edwards aren't due back yet as both their teams were involved in play off matches.
makes sense for shashoua as his season only ended two weeks ago but marcus last played on may 22nd so not sure why he would need additional time off, i hope you're right but we've been here before wondering where he is only to find he's languishing in the background somewhere.
