Yeah, I also seem to remember there being a much greater emphasis on getting everyone super fit and learning the system during preseason with Pochettino, and also Conte to a degree. To the extent that if a player missed out on a full preseason with the team, there would be a lot of talk like ‘can’t wait until he gets going next season, once he’s had a full preseason under his belt”.

There seems to be less emphasis on this with Ange. Then again that may be due to circumstances given the number of injuries we have had. But still, VdV, Bentancur, Romero, Werner and Dragusin have all either made debuts just days after signing or have returned from injuries to start matches sometimes weeks ahead of when we expected them to be back.
This all feeds into the 'no excuses' policy. Are you fit? Yes. Have you forgotten how to play football? No.Then you're good to go, mate.

it's not a joke, it's a reflection of the way our front line plays. and this is not (necessarily) a critic.
Nah, there's been a fair few times our players have been taken out and nothing given, and on the flip side, there's been plenty of absolutely nothing calls given to other teams, jota and szobozlai dives for liverpool and dhuran for villa spring to mind off the top of my head.

While gil elbowed in face by Costa, richarlison dragged back mid air against Luton and maddison smashed v Sheffield United off the top of my head not given for us

I cant see Mali going out, South Africa and Namibia will be garbage we wont have any of them for the cup game. praying we can get lo celso out of his bubble wrap he likes to keep himself in to play with Maddison and Bantancur as he tends to score against city.
Yeah I was gunna say, it basically depends on tomorrow if South Africa can nick a result against Mali as they (mali/all other teams) will deffo beat Namibia and you'd think Cameroon top the group

every team will have their gripes about a couple of plays they feel they could have had it gone their way. ultimately things more or less even out. the point is, we have had a low number of penalties due to the style of the frontline. other than Maddison and occasionally Son, no other players are really forcing defenders to play out of control inside their penalty area.

This is Ange not playing nice according to some corners of the media.

8 attacking players unavailable, but you should have been more creative, shouldn’t you Ange?

We've had the most penalty box touches in the league. It's not like we're not entering the opponents boxes. When you see some of the penalties our rivals have gotten this season and the ones we haven't, you'd have to be scratching your head, surely.

not willing to go engage in conspiracist or malpractice theories. said my piece already, no point going any further with this.

I never mentioned conspiracy or, fuck me, malpractice. My comment merely highlights the absolutely dreadful inconsistency with officials in the PL.

Get down off that high horse buddy. Perhaps you could also try using some proper capatalisation too, if you're going to try and be smart about things.

not meant to, it's just a line of discussion I don't enjoy. apologies if it came out that way.

again, my point still stands, I said my piece already. I believe the lack of calls going our way derives from the play stile of the frontline.

if you disagree or feel we haven't had calls gone our way, fine.

Wow, that's quite a few 2nd and 3rd votes from coaches and players, albeit less major ones.

Interesting that Robertson didn't pick Klopp in his top 3, but put Ange at 2nd (Pep, Ange & Spalletti).
