Levy fired Jose, which the majority of this forum wanted. But now we didn't win the final, people are saying we should have kept him?

If we kept Jose and we enevitably lost, people would be saying he should have been sacked etc

It's hypocrisy at the highest.
To be fair a lot of people including myself who wanted Jose gone said he should’ve stayed for the final as at least we’d have gone into that with an experienced manager in place, not that I think we’d have won anyways, we have much larger issues right now and the new manager needs to be able to get the team performing better than the sum of its parts.

A new top draw manager would make a huge difference in solving this ?next appointment is massive for which direction we go.

People/media say it’s down to the players etc and yes top players make a big difference but Klopp at lpool, Rodgers at Leicester, poch with us all showed that the manager can make the team greater than the sum of its parts, nagglesman would be the dream ? but doubt it’ll happen.

???

Bielsa at Leeds is another one showing it, he’s taken Leeds up and up and they beat city a few weeks ago and just drew with man.u as players are fully bought into their way of playing, we are now in transition so likely to be a bit of a mess until the next man is in.

As bad as it sounds, I would've kept him just to avoid the 'what if'...like we are now.

The way they talk about us on TV and radio makes us sound like we are really poor and lucky to be in a final. This shows how far behind we are still as a team. We are not bad on paper, but very bad in big performances.
i disagree, i am starting to think we are really bad on paper as well based on what i have seen recently. The big flaw in our game is that we cannot pass and the first instinct is to go backwards, not just against city its been against everyone. I think we are in trouble and need a major clear out / turnover of players. On the last 10 games i wouldn't even keep Son, he has been shocking - but he isnt the only one. In fact if i was to name 5 definite players to remain and be the core of the side i would struggle to get to 3

Does anyone really believe mourinho being there would have made a difference?

Did you see leipzig last year?, Norwich at home, Zagreb away.

But we are always in transition

I'm not disappointed that we lost as I expected that.
I'm not disappointed that our rookie manager made mistakes I expected that.
I'm not disappointed that our players, apart from 2,failed to show up today I expected that.

I'm disappointed because we got as much luck as you can ever realistically wish for in a final and we still couldn't even carve out even one decent chance.

Every single one of those players should hand over their wages for today to Hugo and Toby.

The majority wanted Jose gone immediately and if you go through the thread after Southampton you will see everyone saying breath of fresh air, we have our Tottenham back etc etc

It's complete hipocrisy from fans who agreed with the sacking etc to now use the sacking as a stick to beat Levy.

I'm not a massive levy fan, but it's the hipocrisy that I can't stand.

100% bang on. That was disgusting. Predictable when I saw the crazy midfield selection. No disgrace to lose to city, but to put up no fight and never look to win the game was shocking. We played like minnows. Embarrassing
But typical.

This again. Fucking hell.

The whole mentality of this club isn't geared toward winning, it's geared toward 'competing'. That's from the top so it's hardly surprising it filters down. He's happy that we're in with a shout, he's missed more than one opportunity to show he means business and wants to be a winner but no, 'competing' is enough, he's never understood the amount of kudos he'd have gotten if he actually went for it.

"Oh, but he's built a stadium/look where we were when he took over/be careful what you wish for"

The squad has been criminally neglected, we are the only club to ever go two consecutive transfer windows without making a signing. It's resulted in a decline of epic proportions.

"Oh, but he's built a stadium/look where we were when he took over/be careful what you wish for"

He's curls a 12 inch turd out on the chests of the fans and football in general, making us one of the 6 most hated clubs in England while he's at it, nobody wants to deal with him, the EPL are calling for his head, the Supporters are calling for his head and it's blatantly obvious that profit is king with him and ENIC

"Oh, but he's built a stadium/look where we were when he took over/be careful what you wish for"

All of us, pretty much all of us are so down on Spurs at the moment, there's nothing redeeming about us, the hope and joy, the enjoyment of watching us, all of it has been sucked out of us like a brass on crack sucking a pea through a smarties tube, the negativity surrounding us is monumental

"Oh, but he's built a stadium/look where we were when he took over/be careful what you wish for"

God forbid there's complaints because, yep, you guessed it......."Oh, but he's built a stadium/look where we were when he took over/be careful what you wish for"

Every time he gets criticised, one of his disciples crops up with it. Fuck that. Fuck it with a 24 inch dill covered in stinging nettles and ralgex

The irony of spurs fans who want rid of him slagging off his decision to enter the ESL is what amuses me. With that, ENIC are gone.

The club is worth more money, there’s more purchasers in the market because of the guaranteed income for 23 years.

If we were to have joined that they were off. It’s so obvious. Now that chance is missed. Fucking annoying
