Yeah I'd go Lenglet @ City and Davies mid week.

Wouldn't be surprised if its the other way round though.

But we're going to start seeing the benefit of having far more quality in depth now.
I wouldn’t rotate CBs at all and just play my best defence in both games.

Yeah that's a fair point. More time to build understanding and avoid disruption to that back line.

Plus it's the one position that needs the least rotation.

I’m with you. At this point continuity is probably more important than fatigue. When the season’s more developed we’ll need to think more carefully about rotation

Dier & Romero gonna bend Haaland over!

To the tune of “rocking all over the world”

“…Here we goooooo, oh…Eric Dier & Romerooooooo”.

How many times can we go back to the well and do the same thing to City? I guess Pep will be too proud to change anything apart from even more intense focused tactical fouling any time we have a counter on.

No doubt about it, this will be our sternest test yet.

It's vital we don't pick up injuries midweek as we will need to make full use of the 5 subs rule I feel.

The way they play now with Haaland is very different to what we've been used to when we have had success so thus encounter will be very intriguing to see how we cope with their different style of attack.

Rather Davies against city. Mainly because I'm not sure if Lenglet is ready for the PL in a game where we will be defending the majority of the time.

Yeah you could be right. Was just thinking of our ability to progress the ball well out from the back

It's a weird one. Neither us nor city have exactly set the world alight this season so far, yet it's 2nd v 3rd, the last two teams unbeaten, with identical records.

Personally, I have this down as a loss. City have been vulnerable but Haaland does scare me a bit. Now, our defenders actually have good attributes in dealing with Haaland but, yeah, I'm a little worried.

Even forgetting Haaland city are a much better team than us and we play away from home. We seem to have a good recent record against city though so let's see what happens.

I mean they are both perfectly justifiable decisions, and I'll trust Conte regardless of who he picks.

Really mid week we want to be in a position to bring on subs early. I doubt we will be but fitness will probably play a major part here. If we are at all sluggish we could get ruined.

It's worth remembering that Lenglet was first choice at Barca for quite some time before his form dropped off. He's partnered Pique to win at the Bernabeau in a high stakes, ultra intense Clasico. He has a lot of experience in big matches, so there won't be anything in this match he hasn't seen before.

Frankly, I'd like to see Conte just have Romero/Dier/Lenglet play every match when fit moving forward. They need continuity and to build an understanding for this team to reach its potential and push for a top 2 finish.

Free hit for me this one. They're a bit scared of us, let's go up there and land one on them.

Really excited about this one, i think we can do them again, they'll be desperate to get their revenge for last season so hopefully we can pick them off, should be a great game.

Son only has more goals against Southampton and B.Dortmund, need him at his best against them.

This isnt fully accurate. If you count all competitions (which you have as you included BVB) , Son has

12 goals (6 assists) vs Southampton
9 goals (0 assists) vs BVB
7 goals (7 assists) vs West Ham
7 (3 assists) vs ManCity
7 (5 assists) vs Leicester
