 That video was beautiful. Any chance of making it a sticky to keep us going through the summer?

Fair enough. Can't say I agree with you but like everyone on here you are entitled to your opinion. The only question is do you want to see the team do well with Harry as manager or would you prefer to see them fail? I know it's a leading question that may get you slagged off on here (dependant on your answer) but I am interested.

I would compare it to my supporting of Irish nationalism, yet abhorrence of the Sinn Fein leaders who were actively involved in terrorism being elected to sit in parliament.

The cause is more important but you can't forget your moral compass.

With Redknapp I've never got to the stage where I've wanted us to lose to hasten his departure. This did happen to me under Graham though.

What a great video. This past season had so many memorable moments it is unbelievable. From the very beginning with the Liverpool match to the 9-1 wigan match to such a great ending with those matches against Arsenal and Chelsea to that super tense Man City game I tear up when I see that Rose goal and the Crouch goal against City.

As for this moral objection to Harry I find that to be silly, all of us do something that is wrong in our lives, lets just worry about how we do on the pitch and let the police handle the other stuff. If they find what he did to be punishable by jail time so be it and we will look for a new manager but until then lets just enjoy the great football.

Pocketing transfer money that originally came from the fans to me is actually as bad, if not worse, than public servants fiddling their expenses and bankers creaming off huge bonuses while wrecking the economy.

How long is the drive from Portsmouth? Don't think so.

He lives in Sandbanks doesn't he? £10m mansion in a highly 'exclusive' area overlooking Poole harbour. I think that's an even longer drive!

I'm astonished by DA's slagging of Harry too, just to add. Jaw-dropping for the guy that got us CL qualification and whilst playing proper 'Spurs' football.

Also the guy that Modric has just signed a new contract for. The guy that brought Defoe back to the lane. The guy that turned Bale from a defensive liability into one of the best left-sided players in Europe. The guy that defied my expectations by turning Kaboom into a decent player. The guy that signed Niko for £2.5m, the steal of the year. The guy that successfully pulled Bentley from football's dustbin. The guy that filled Daws with confidence and turned him into a leader.

He's the bloke our players want to play for.

:clap::clap::clap:. In my opinion what harry does/did do before and outside of tottenham shouldn't go anyway to forming an opinion as to how good a manager he is for us. If the courts hold him accountable for the supposed financial abnormalities then he will be punished. Until that time lets just rejoice in the turn around he has overlooked in the last 18 months.

I wouldn't mind but where's the proof of the pocketing transfer money?!

Do we hang people before convicting them these days?

If there was any truth in this it would have come out and he would have been slaughtered.

I don't think its a lack of proof that is stopping the authorities hanging Redknapp out to dry for this, its just that if they did one person for it, the whole house of cards would come down. Everyone had their fingers in the pie, including bigger names than Harry, that was just the culture of the game, managers thought they weren't paid enough, just as the MPs did, and they took their top up through different methods.

Since Mourinho, managers are on equal terms now, so there is no need for it anymore.

Redknapp is the best manager we've had for years and yet there are still a minority willing to crucify him for something that, as yet, has not been proven. Come on guys give the man a break, he's taken us from being a mediocre mid-table team to the Champions league for Christ's sake and he's done it in just over 18 months !!!!!!
Thank the Lord our chairman and his directors have far more common sense than a few on this site appear to have.

So Harry finally qualifies for the CL and the Mirror seriously wants us to believe that he would walk away from that?
And for what, Liverpool?

Liverpool are finished as a top four club for, at least, a few seasons.

They now have to compete with Man City as the most attractive prospect without CL football and that's one battle they will lose because they cannot compete financially.

Unlike the creator of this story, Harry is not stupid, and to even suggest he would contemplate this move smacks of some kind of hidden agenda.

Yes , the 90s were a terrible time . To be brought to a stage where you feel the only way forward for your beloved club is to lose matches , is surely the equivalent of a football supporter's hell . I was stuck there at the time .

Francis ,Sugar , Graham (shudder)

On Redknapp we gotta wait til the evidence is rock solid before condemning .

Fantastic vid, have some rep for posting, might just watch the ManCity game again tonight after watching that.

 I have been toying with the idea of rewatching the opening day 'statement of intent' agains the Pool. The ArseScum game was such an amazingly good feeling (I actually felt stoned, or summit, walking home -s aw some friends and couldn' string a sentence together:grin:), so I think I'll save that for a birthday treat. But for sheer footballing brlliance I have already rewatched the trouncing of the Chavs twice:beer:

 That video was beautiful. Any chance of making it a sticky to keep us going through the summer?

Not the foggiest - ask the MODS/Tech guys:grin:

It's his agent trying to get harry as much money as possible. With new contracts being extended I'm very surprised nothing has been offered for Redknapp

So Harry Redknapp, who has never taken a job north of Watford because he wants to stay in one place, will up sticks and take a job on Mersyside?

He lives near Portsmouth and loves it there, he has just got our club into the Champions league, while the management are backing him despite his courtcase. We are building a new stadium and training complex, have a handsome transfer budget and are on the verge of becoming a real force. Yet, SSN clearly thinks Harry will up sticks and move to merseyside, to have a team of mostly average players, with no transfer kitty, no new stadium and constant disruption from the board.

hmm.....

I think the last line of that Skysports article is the key - talks to extend his Tottenham contract are yet to take place.
