Harry talking about Joe Cole and transfers;

""I know people will say that is not like me, but in the past I have turned up to inherit crap teams and had to work hard to turn it all around and improve them, which meant a lot of buying and selling. But not now at Spurs, I don't"!

This is why he won't go to Pool! Crap team, off field turmoil, no champs league etc etc etc!

Harry wouldnt manage Liverpool purely for geographical reasons.

He fucking loves Sandbanks and wouldnt leave Sandra indoors days on end while he's up Norf.

The ONLY Silving lining is Redknapp were to go would be we would have just HAVE to go out and get BIG MARTIN JOL!!!!

Also what with Redknapp being on the BBC & talkSPORT the whole summer, he either needs to confirm or denie all this pretty sharpish!

This, I love the big old dufus, big ol Mart. He'd certainly be inheriting a good squad, would he leave Ajax for Spurs though?

I don't like the bookies slashing the odds, got a cringie feeling in my stomach and it's not that chicken slice that was out of date I had earlier.

Harry will absolutely not leave spurs for Pool! Pool is a long-term project with many unknown quantities! Will there be funding? Will he be given time? Will his best players stay? etc etc

He has a great squad at spurs, better players, a better chairman, money to spend, the respect of his squad and the fans. Close to home.

Not a chance in hell!

He did leave Portsmouth and go to Southampton, then go back to Portsmouth again, thats like Spurs to Arsenal and back again.

In normal circumstances I wouldn't be worried by it but this is the wheeler dealer Harry we are talking about, he will do whats best for him not the club.

my scouser mate who is a regular on the Liverpool forums says this guy is rumoured to be discussing to buy the club.

Take it with a pinch of salt....

Taken from COYS: HertsTHFC

A scouser in my office frequents an LFC fansite who are reporting that an offer has been made for the club by an Arabian guy worth £19billion. The info is from an ITK on the site who apparently has a long and accurate record.

The American owners are yet to accept but the offer is a good one, the banks are keen for it to be accepted.

Apparently it will be in the press shortly, just passing it on.

Nothing surprises me anymore about football so its distinctly possible that Harry Redknapp could end up at Anfield.
As long as they don't sell any of their current squad Harry could have them challenging for a top 3 spot from the start of the season.
If they had to sell Torres or Gerrard to generate cash to buy a few players then it would take Harry a bit longer to get them up there.
If they get a loadsamoney buyer for the club who can give Harry a fortune to buy top class players,Harry would win the league with them next year.
I wouldn't want any of these things to come about because I dislike Liverpool and would delight in them struggling in mid table for the rest of my life but as I say, nothing in football surprises me anymore.

The 63-year-old told ESPN Soccernet: "I am not being presumptuous turning down Liverpool, because I haven't been offered the job and haven't spoken to anyone about it.
"There is no need, as I have one year left on my contract at Tottenham and I am not thinking about anything other than being at White Hart Lane next season.
"I can tell you that I have not been offered a new contract, but that doesn't mean I am looking to move on - far from it.
"I am loyal to Spurs, I want to stay at Spurs and I have a contract with Spurs, and I'd be happy to sign a new contract at Spurs if I was offered one, but in any case I have one year on my contract."

Doesnt really say: Im NOT going to Liverpool does it? But he probably wont:)

I see what you did there

Basically it's Harry saying look I want a new better and longer contract or I might consider one from Liverpool. He's basically putting himself in the shop window.

Hehe... It does make you wonder where the Liverpool rumours came from though, doesn't it. Harry does have a few mates in the press.
