Can you keep political opinions out of the non-politics forums and theads. Rashford has an MBE - that's the topic, not a sandwich of 'what anyone's political persuasions are'. Post them in the appropriate thread.

What about the comments made by David Schneider and copied here? It’s what prompted my response.

I can't agree. That is exactly the sort of refereeing (non-) performance that leads to players getting seriously injured. See also; Clattenburg, M in The Battle Of The Bridge.

Most of those players have been retired for years. They’ll be fine.

Post-match stats:
  • Manchester United have failed to win any of their first three home games to a league campaign for the first time since the 1972-73 season.
  • Failed to score for first time in 30 games in all comps since Feb
  • Manchester United are without a home league win in five games (D3 L2), their longest run without victory at Old Trafford since February 1990 (6 games).
  • There was just one shot on target in the entire second half in this match, with that coming via Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford in stoppage time.
  • At 33y 253d, Edinson Cavani became Manchester United’s oldest Premier League debutant since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in August 2016 (34y 316d).

Not to sully your work compiling these facts but the last one is the kind that always makes me laugh when the likes of Martin Tyler bring them out. It’s like “okay...? Interesting????”

I think it speaks volumes about them right now tbh. It sounds like the kind of record you'd expect our Alan Sugar sides to be wheeling out.

Does the spirit of Fergie still haunt referees and VAR officials?
How else can slight touches against a forwards toe be pulled up by VAR yet a blatant and obvious attempt at strangulation by McGuire be missed by both referee and VAR? I know, because it would have meant a penalty against United and being around the neck and throat area surely a sending off.
Surely retrimental punishment should occur!
