Does the spirit of Fergie still haunt referees and VAR officials?
How else can slight touches against a forwards toe be pulled up by VAR yet a blatant and obvious attempt at strangulation by McGuire be missed by both referee and VAR? I know, because it would have meant a penalty against United and being around the neck and throat area surely a sending off.
Surely retrimental punishment should occur!

Only retrospective if nobody saw the incident during the game.

Surely if it had been seen, action would have to have been taken.
You’d have thought so, but apparently they did review it and decided he did nothing wrong.

They’re not even trying to be circumspect in their corruption. They might as well send out a memo to everyone, informing them that they require Utd to be in the CL, and will make their decisions to ensure this.

Man Utd have had their transfer plans hacked according to the papers today. Not sure who’d want to steal those. They can’t be the sharpest of hackers!

Agents, knowing who United plan on throwing bags of cash at would be very handy for the likes of Mendes et al. Or could just be the papers themselves.

What did Cavani post?
He referred to one his Twitter followers as a "Negrito". It was obviously used as a term of endearment and was clearly not intended to be insulting or racist, but the FA feels it has to get involved becauase of the action it took against Bernardo Silva last year in a similar context.

Just because South American countries have inherent 'socially acceptable' racism doesn't make it okay to do it in other countries.
