They've got a huge 6 pointer at home to Brighton this weekend. The Team that loses this is bang in trouble imo

As another example of what a shambles the club is, I was listening to one of the Athletic podcasts the other day and it was said that, since Pellegrini and his staff left, West Ham have been left with Sullivan, Moyes and one scout in their recruitment department.

Think about that, just 3 people recruiting for a Premier League club, at least one of which is a complete idiot!
I think I Sullivan's son does their scouting on footy manager and fifa. For real!

What happened to the fabled New Manager Bounce ? I asked when they reappointed Moyes don’t they recall why they replaced him first time round. Great big mess IMO and once again the people responsible (the Directors) will get off Scot free

I guess he's not a new manager. He's an old manager who was let go because he wasn't good enough who came back. That's not really going to give the players much of a lift.

I don't think he's a bad manager, but the owners aren't helping him as they haven't let him bring his support staff in - they wouldn't let Stuart Pearce rejoin as he said something about he owners when he left.

Didn’t realise that. So poor old Moyes is working with one hand tied behind his back. I assume he went back because he needed the money. Why else go there and not be able to bring in your own staff ?

It does seem like they're working with a skeleton staff at the moment.
No scouts, won't let Moyes have his own staff in, what the fuck do they expect to come out of this situation?
Shocking way to run a club.

I'm not going to trawl back to find the article but previously in this thread an article was posted where it said that the Dildo Brothers commisioned a report on the inner workings at the club and were told in no uncertain terms that there's no way they'll be a consistently top half side when they only have a skeleton staff. This was commisioned before they hired Pellegrini, so under Moyes' last spell.

So when they appointed Pellegrini they wanted to appoint more scouts, physios, a DoF and so on. But instead of putting the infrastructure in place before appointing the manager, they hired Pellegrini and let him choose everyone he wanted to work with, and the result was that when they sacked Pellegrini everyone he'd picked went with him and they were left back at square one.

These are supposed to be experienced businessmen but they're running the club like complete amateurs.

I expect he looked at the squad and thought he could do a decent job there - it's really quite strong, especially compared to other clubs in the league. With the shambles that is everyone outside the top 3 this season West Ham would reasonably have expected to be pushing the European places this season but there's just something about the club that screams failure. They've got some really talented players but none of them - apart from Fatty Noble and his Hitler haircut - seem remotely interested in the success of the club or ever get invested into it. They're all just there to pick up a paycheque.

Wonder if it's got anything to do with their Portacabin training ground.

He'd been out of work for ages. He probably felt that this could be the last chance that he'd get.

Wasn't he still under contract money with Man Utd until recently or big pay off ?

wow, what a headline

West Ham accounts describe Premier League survival as a financial ‘necessity’

Please get relegated.

I‘d love to see these ‘improvements‘ to their shit hole of a training ground they’re supposed to have made.

Weird Bowen wants to join them over palace. Maybe he loves the championship that much that he wants to play there next season too.

West Ham are much more likely to throw a load of cash at him, it’s how their transfer system works. Bid for player, get stalled on whilst player see’s if any other clubs come in for them, if they don’t, keep throwing money at the player until they feel they have no choice but to take it. The player can always work backwards and stick a Dmitri Payet clause in.

Tbf, they have made a lot of improvements - the most immediately obvious is they got rid of the broken down minibus with a flat tyre that was parked outside for months;
