To be honest after everything that had been happening at that stadium this season there would have been no way I would have taken a child to that game.
It's sad state of affairs but its true that some games are not for taking kids to and this was one of them.
Many years ago I went with an uncle to see S****horpe v Hull and he wouldn't take his kid (who went to all home games with him) as he knew there was the possibility of aggro. As it was the match passed with out incident. Last night it was guaranteed that there would be violence.
Why risk taking a kid? Good luck trying to get her to want to go to another game for a while.

I think most of them didn't, I read on Kumb last night that there were 10,000 empty seats and that they were due to the kids 10p season tickets.

I've listened to quite a lot of Talksport and general sports news this morning about this and a common theme is that everyone is condemning the behaviour of the fans and the violence (fair enough) but nobody seems to be laying any blame at West Ham's door directly.

Its all - Poor little west ham, no-one is talking about the match, a small minority of fans have ruined what should have been a great night, the police didn't do enough, the stewards weren't experienced enough...

Fuck that!

The Porn brothers and Miss piggy had over 2 years to prepare for this and make sure incidents like this couldn't happen. Did they make any plans to prevent it? Clearly not. Either they refused to pay for it or were too busy telling everyone how they were going to take world football by storm and this was a a massive statement and how they got one over on Spurs blah blah blah.

Now they're blaming everyone else. The turds!

Good news over on KUMB. Not only did West Ham fans cause absolutely none of the trouble and are being unfairly branded as hooligans, but the team has now turned the corner and they are convinced they will be in the CL next year and possibly even challenging to win the league.

Fuck me they really are a bunch of delusional pikey ****s.

Greg Dyke was on SSN earlier. They asked him what he'd do if he was still chairman. His response?

"Nothing."
As I see it, the police aren't prepared to provide a presence inside the ground because the stadium operators have not yet installed the necessary radio equipment. If so, this begs the question as to how the stadium ever got its Safety Certificate under the Safety at Sports Grounds Act 1987. Can you just pop into your local post office and buy a certificate at the counter?

Ban these 'few bad apples' and another 'few bad apples' will take their place. The only solution is tag the lot of them, paid for by their owners and whilst they are at it the can get a couple for themselves too..

Over on KUMB they say a corner has been turned for both the team and the ground. They say the atmosphere was fantastic, best in the league

First game under the lights against one of the big sides.
The team gave us a top performance tonight and the atmosphere was fantastic even though the stadium was far from full.
Have been to all the games and this was best by far, beginning to feel a bit like home.

also

Really chuffed with tonight not just because of the result but because it showed that the atmosphere will be what we make it (just as it would have been at the Boleyn). Decent fixture tonight and the place was rocking as a result. It finally felt like home.

Personally I think the owners should be condemming the violence not leaving it to the manager

"one off"

"isolated little pockets"

Utter bellend

Prick needs to keep his eyes on the road not the camera.
Isolated?? I can't believe the authorities have let this go in for so long. I can't imagine a lower lge team getting away with this ineptitude. Disgraceful!!

It's totally unacceptable. They should be sanctioned now and sanctioned hard. It's disgraceful and everyone could see it was coming since the start of the season. Shit stadium, shit club.

Rumours that West Ham and Chelsea firms agreed to meet a mile away from the match.

Unfortunately that was still in the stadium...

This whole flyer issue seems completely ridiculous. Yes, the chant was dumb and juvenile but does it really need a police investigation? It's the sort of thing a stupid schoolkid would say ffs.

I mean come on, aren't there more pressing issues the police could be focusing on than a childish piece of paper?

Like condemning the OS as a danger to public safety on a matchday and shutting it down? If so I'm so i'm in
