Say what you like about Ole but surely to Christ professional defenders dont need to be told you can't all go standing in the oppositions half and leave a player behind you.
I think players have to take responsibility for the basics at least.
Saw 2 foul throws this weekend as well plus another that wasnt given.
It's mad.

Depends what the coach is saying I guess. If he's telling his defenders to get up for corners but then not arranging players to cover it's his fault.

Also, with the lack of fans in stadium he should see that happening and tell them to get back into defensive position.

Bruno has been utterly shite this season.
He's playing in a very similar manner to how I always saw him for Sporting. A few moments of class, but amongst a lot of erratic passing and crossing. It just depends if you can put up with his erratic play in hope he scores or makes a cracking assist. I said at the time when he first came to the PL that he was playing above his actual levels of performance.

I love how he was hailed as a saviour because he hit the ground running by scoring some penalties. Sometimes I wonder if the pundits actually watch the game or just check whoscored.
When the media were going ape shit and some on here were shouting we should have bought him not GLC I remember saying just wait, lets see.
I still think we got the better player.
Lost count of how many times the media get carried away with the next big thing just for them to fizzle out and disappear.within 6 months.
Look how long its taken Son. Could see there was a player there from day one .Glc is the same.

The amount of initial "Bruno and Pogba, Bruno and Pogba, Bruno and Pogba" bullocks being spouted when they'd done fuck all other than string a few passes between each other was sickening.

Thats what I mean by taking responsibility. You can't just run forward for a corner because he told you to without thinking who's gonna defend! Players can and should talk to each other.
Have to disagree with you there.

Pogba is the most overhyped player in the PL

Bruno has been utterly shite this season.

He was a bit shite last season - he just had penalties to stat-pad. A lot of them.

He was also hyped up on here as a bit of a stick to beat the club with, e.g. "If we backed Poch", when it was pretty clear that Poch didn't actually want him. It's easy to see why, as he's one of those big fish, little pond players like Siggy seemed to be.

Just been reading through their “next manager” thread. There’s seems to be an acceptance that it will be Poch, not exactly a desire. I do wonder how many of them actually watched us play under him as they seem to think he favours defensive counter attacking football. :wideyed:

Many of them calling for Rogers, or David Morrisey from Southampton.

Oh I agree, the players should be taking accountability but also the coach should be covering all his bases.

Obviously the levels aren't the same but at my club we had some players who were so dozy in these situations and despite defenders going up for corners would try press high when the ball became loose. We had to really coach some players on where they need to be positioned.

It's on OGS to ensure his players aren't leaving space like this and being irresponsible because players can and do switch off. He should have been on the touchline screaming for them to fall back but he doesn't come across as a coach who sees everything. And that ultimately will cost him his job.

Even the second goal they conceded. Yeah Maguire once again is being an idiot but you can coach players to be aware or other dangers or simply stay in defensive position. I just don't think its something OGS covers, the finer details.

I reckon Ralph would do a good job for them tbh.

If Everton beat them its inevitable.

As they have West Brom at home to follow after the international break...perfect scenario for a new manager.

He’s a good manager and given the right chance he will do well. Personally don’t think any manager will succeed at United under the current structure though.

Absolutely, but if you can do it at the SCBC then you can do it under the Glazers imo.

They need to be finding someone who does 'well' (subjectively) under suffocating circumstances. Ralph, even Potter.
