It seems footballer's can't even go to a fancy dress party anymore.

"The club will be dealing with this issue internally" Surely they've got bigger things to worry about like a player on £100k a week in the Championship?

Goalkeeper issues statement …

The club is aware of an image of Julio Cesar circulating on social networking feeds today (Tuesday 23rd April).

The image, which appeared on an Instagram account, has since been deleted. The club will be dealing with this issue internally.

Julio has issued the following statement regarding the image:

“I would like to clarify that last night I attended David Luiz’s fancy dress birthday party and as a joke for my friend, my family and I dressed as him.

“I want to assure everyone that absolutely no offence was intended.”

The club will be making no further comment at this time.

Waaa? He went to a fancy dress party FFS. I mean, dubya tee eff.

Oh wait, is it cos he's wearing a Chelsea strip or something? Only just noticed that. Honestly though, whoever is genuinely offended by that should be sterilised. Immediately.

I'm sure I've got the wrong end of the stick but do they want him in his fancy dress wig when they internally discipline him?
Can't see what the serious issue is, wearing a Chelsea kit when you're a QPR player?

If Kyle Walker went to Wilshere's birthday party dressed as a hobbit in a Arsenal shirt I'd find it hilarious!

Some people are too touchy.

By the way, does anyone else not see the bigger issue here? Someone at the party was supplying coke!

I suppose it doesn't help that their staring down the barrell of the relegation gun now, so I will allow them to be a bit more touchy than usually.

Brilliant over-reaction from QPR.

They are making a bid to become the next Blackburn.

Comedy financials, comedy purchases and a manager who clearly couldn't give a flying fuck what happens from here on in as he'll clearly be out in Qatar or something come the start of next season.

Good work QPR!

Fair play to Cesar, that's pretty funny.

I guess the people who got upset over it didn't notice the silly wig.

Just out of interest, would we all be saying the same if it was Sandro? I wouldn't be kicking off about it but I'd be calling him a stupid lad that should know better.

Just because he went to a fancy dress party?

Blimey. You're strict.

You didn't see my response to Prince Harry and his fancy dress outfit (now that was stupid!)!

I see the point but I think there's an element of it inviting unwanted attention and ridicule for no good reason. It shouldn't but it does and clearly has. And maybe Sandro was a bad example as everyone loves him but if it was Adebayor in a gooner shirt I'm sure that'd be the final straw for a number of people on here.

Was it you who started those rumours about James Hewitt? That was a bit mean mate.

Personally I think football fans should be able to get over the fact that the players don't 'love the club' and are by and large just doing a job. If they go to a fancy dress thing in another team's shirt does that really matter? I agree that if Adebayor was spotted in an Arsenal shirt, for any reason, people would go ballistic. Personally though I'd think those people were idiots.

I'd be fucking livid and sick to the stomach if one of my friends even considered wearing that shirt (y)
