I've always liked Klopp and thought he has done a fantastic job with Dortmund and Liverpool
But the sour grape comments are unnecessary and he should have been bigger than to make them
I understand his frustration but he should have been classy enough to congratulate them and move on, focus on the league and coming back stronger next year
Yes, the question has to be asked. Why didn't Atletico Madrid just lay down and die and allow Liverpool to have as much time on the ball as they liked (and were entitled to do so, as European, World and Premier League Champions elect...).
Why didn't Atletico mentally beat themselves before the match even started? Didn't they realise they were going to play the mighty reds at Anfield amidst the most amazing, hostile atmosphere in the world? How dare they even try to play any football? Didn't they even know who they were up against?
Klopp, you really are a classless dick for those post-match comments. Any respect I had for you and the job you've done at LFC has virtually gone.
I thought Atletico played marvellously and refused to be bulllied, which more teams should do against Liverpool. I thought they matched Liverpool's intensity, especially defensively and they terrified Liverpool's famously rock solid defence every time they streamed forward.
Well done Atletico. For weeks since the first leg, we've all heard the predictions from Liverpool fans of a battering in front of the famous Anfield roar which was like no other hostile atmosphere in world football. Well, Anfield was bloody quiet last night. Liverpool tried to adopt their usual tactics of mega-pressing the ball and the man all over the pitch and puttting in some truly terrible tackles and 'tactical fouls' to intimidate the opposition, but Madrid were up and ready for it, often responding in kind, which was great to see.
I had such a wonderful time of it watching that last night, I nearly pleasured myself. I've had enough of Liverpool and their fans to last me a lifetime now. Hopefully, this will bring them all back down to earth, to the real world, so take your Premier League, have your little celebrations for a few days and fuck off.
So who's going to win the CL this year? I have a sneaky feeling for Bayern.
