I've always liked Klopp and thought he has done a fantastic job with Dortmund and Liverpool

But the sour grape comments are unnecessary and he should have been bigger than to make them

I understand his frustration but he should have been classy enough to congratulate them and move on, focus on the league and coming back stronger next year

Yes, the question has to be asked. Why didn't Atletico Madrid just lay down and die and allow Liverpool to have as much time on the ball as they liked (and were entitled to do so, as European, World and Premier League Champions elect...).

Why didn't Atletico mentally beat themselves before the match even started? Didn't they realise they were going to play the mighty reds at Anfield amidst the most amazing, hostile atmosphere in the world? How dare they even try to play any football? Didn't they even know who they were up against?

Klopp, you really are a classless dick for those post-match comments. Any respect I had for you and the job you've done at LFC has virtually gone.

I thought Atletico played marvellously and refused to be bulllied, which more teams should do against Liverpool. I thought they matched Liverpool's intensity, especially defensively and they terrified Liverpool's famously rock solid defence every time they streamed forward.

Well done Atletico. For weeks since the first leg, we've all heard the predictions from Liverpool fans of a battering in front of the famous Anfield roar which was like no other hostile atmosphere in world football. Well, Anfield was bloody quiet last night. Liverpool tried to adopt their usual tactics of mega-pressing the ball and the man all over the pitch and puttting in some truly terrible tackles and 'tactical fouls' to intimidate the opposition, but Madrid were up and ready for it, often responding in kind, which was great to see.

I had such a wonderful time of it watching that last night, I nearly pleasured myself. I've had enough of Liverpool and their fans to last me a lifetime now. Hopefully, this will bring them all back down to earth, to the real world, so take your Premier League, have your little celebrations for a few days and fuck off.

So who's going to win the CL this year? I have a sneaky feeling for Bayern.

Bringing the game to them, they can be stifled. Even when we raised our game in the last 20 minutes we could have gotten something if we did it much earlier. Too much respect has been given to them all seasons, when some of the lower positioned teams were all capable of getting something. But only Watford managed to.

I do hope Bayern can win the title, at least being thrashed 7-2 by an impending champion is less of an insult. Although it will be a highlight reel for them for years to come..

Well even the Klopp facade slips when things go awry. Where’s the goofy smile? The ‘I’m one of the lads’ persona.

The season where they might have achieved the impossible is grinding down to a whimper. I have to say they should have won with that territorial advantage and shots on goal. Just shows how fine the margins are at this level.

I’d still take a PL over everything else. It’s probably the hardest competition to win. They’ll have something to ease the hurt for now.

Pool will be declared title winners anyway IMO, but it will be funny if they don't get the trophy lift and parade.

I don't think they could declare them winners unless it is mathematically impossible ?

You know that scenario where there ball is rolling into an empty net and a dog happens to run across and block the
goal ?

I dunno tbh, too many other variables, CL/PL places, relegation spots.

It’d be handy if the weird ball thing from The Prisoner escaped and went after Liverpool again...

More importantly I wonder how Liverpool fans will treat him......bet it’s slightly different than on here!

If Mourinho won the CL and prem with us back to back he could get on the mic at half time and call us all wankers and he'd probably receive gentle applause

RAWK are, as you might expect, a tad concerned about the league being voided, with the unprecedented nature of the situation creating uncertainty and adding to their anxiety.

That is, until one of their number, possibly not one of the brightest, realised that there might be a precedent...

Our London Colney training centre has been closed after head coach Mikel Arteta received a positive COVID-19 result this evening
I do hope if the season is cancelled then Liverpool don’t win the league as I always thought something exactly like this would happen to spurs but to happen to their fans would just be beyond hillarious, they’re insufferable at the moment and if after 30 years they get so close and don’t win it would just be the funniest thing ever.

The current results of Liverpool have been coming for a while. In the CL final the were as bad as we were and since then have time after time scraped out one goal wins that could have gone against them. I said ages ago that they tire badly in the last twenty minutes and I think sides at last now know this. Having lost a few games teams are now approaching them with less respect. The have gone past their peak and next season with be back in the pack. I think us and City have shown how hard it is to keep high level form going for more than a couple of seasons. Of course this is just personal opinion so we will see what happens

I think you're right. The PL is not like other leagues in which you can have an off season or transition and still be up at the top. If you become tired, are in transition or have discontent behind the scenes then the rest of the league is ready to take your place.

It won't be so much 5 year cycles as some think, it'll be 2 or 3 seasons or maybe even a single season. We need to be able to do what Chelsea have always done and bounce back, although that's mainly been down to their turnover of coaches.

Doing the rounds on social media:

The scousers thought they'd won it,
The title looked a cert.
Wanking themselves silly
Ending 30 years of hurt.
By far they were the best team.
It was proven by the stats.
Then china fucked the season
With aids from eating bats!!
Deluded fucking dippers,
Get back under ya rock,
And take that German with ya,
The buck toothed fucking cock.
Van Dyke, Firminho, Salah,
Your gonna win fuck all,
The country is ecstatic
Cos we all love Football!!!
