Funny how Klopp and Henderson on about pushing City all the way. No mention they let slip a 10point lead on City from January. Absolute clowns. Media are no better. I just hope we can now do it im Madrid. It will be unreal to win it, but to beat these arrogant #### would top it off.

They really are scummy deluded and self entitled to the highest order. They got so much luck this season, Lloris throwing one in his own net, Pickford having a brain fart in the merseyside derby and handing them the points, Son not getting that penalty, all thre Sala dives, there are literally at least a dozen incidents where they clearly got a huge amount of luck over the season which directly led to them achieving maximum points.

Not to mention playing their first 11 every single week without any bad injuries all season long. It's unheard of. They won't get the same luck next season and won't be close to the point tally they have now.

They'll still be a good side,, but they won't be that far ahead of everyone else. I would say they accrued an extra 20 points from sheer luck.

I'm no Liverpool fan, I was jubilant yesterday but I have to say the above is a little bit silly. To suggest you finish on 97 points due to being "lucky" is rubbish. Every side in the league has their fair share of lucky and unlucky moments during the course of the season. They had 2 players who scored 20 goals and lost 1 game all season (to the eventual champions). They're an excellent team and Klopp is an excellent manager. Yeah, Salah dives, I'd hasten to point out we are no angels ourselves in that regard. They were fortunate with injuries but it's not as if they didn't suffer any, TAA was out for a stretch and Joe Gomez hasn't played since the beginning of December. You can't take away from the fact they've been magnificent, which in a way makes them finishing second even sweeter.

I never said they were lucky to finish on 97 pts. It goes without saying they are a fantastic side, but they have had a tremendous amount of luck. Luck I didn’t see any other top 6 side get so consistently. Just look at the the amount of non penalties they got given too.

I agree with what you are saying. 97 points is not down to luck and whilst I do think they'e benefitted from some bad decisions you still have to go on and win the game. Klopp has made them so well drilled and they are one of the best around now.

However, I'd love to see how they'd have coped with our injury record and lack of preseason. Klopps' teams are based on high energy and quick transitions. They would not have been able to have done that with the extent of injuries we've suffered.

So when others say they are far ahead of us, I think they are wrong. A healthy Pochettino squad gets close to Klopp's best.

Yeah, it's good.

Although you might be able to make the case that in chasing Man City, they were pushed harder and achieved more points than had they been top. Indeed, when they were top they squandered it. Competition can bring out the best in some sides. No us, so much...

I hate all this, I think I've read/seen 3 or 4 articles/interviews from ex and current players saying they're here to stay, well why don't you get on and do it, and when you have then you can start flapping your gums.
Sky Sports main deadline yesterday "Thommo: I'd take Coutinho back to Liverpool".

This was ahead of;
- City winning the league - the aftermath
- Hughton being sacked
- Hazard stating he has told Chelsea his plans
- Bolton have points deducted

How is the opinion of a long-nosed gobshite more headline worthy of any of these other stories?

Exactly. For Sky Sports anything about Liverpool, no matter how forced or trivial, is always a bigger story than anything else going on in the world. It's pathetic.

I know of absolutely no one, bar gooners, who would rather Liverpool won it.
That may well be the case in the UK (though I think you are forgetting Chelsea and West Ham fans).
Abroad however things are a little different.

Liverpool have a huge following as peole's "second" team and here in Germany especially they are even more the media darlings with Klopp in charge. Most football fans here want Liverpool to win the CL because of Klopp or because they view Liverpool as some form of Elite club that is worthy of the grand prize (and were unlucky not to win the league).

Tottenham are very much considered second tier still. Plucky, good players, but "be honest Liverpool are better". It's not banter, it's "German honesty" and right now at least, it is hard to argue against that. Of course they don't care how many seasons or so we have finished above them recently, in most people's eyes here at least, Liverpool are likeable (City are the enemy becasue of the oil money).

I think the only German fans I know who want Spurs to win are a few Bayern fans I know who dislike the Klopp love in.

I watched our home game against Dortmund in germany and for an hour before the game their TV coverage was just a complete Kloppfest.
