I thought it was ironic that after all the money spent the last sub to save the game was an academy player.

Need to be renamed "Strangers Eleven". Far too many inexperienced players and then far too many players. Lots of talented players but badly need sorting out and stop buying anymore players.

I just looked and they have 33 players listed in their first team squad. Enough for 3 full 11’s

Over £200 million on two midfield players who arent worth it. They might be good players but they werent worth that. I'm sure they could have picked up two players for a lot less who would be better and more effective. Trouble is £100 million each on two players who dont score and dont assist is a lot whichever way you paint in.

Fucking funny so far obviously!

I think it’s more likely arguing who gets a seat and who has to sit down n the upturned crates.
They must be really looking forward to coming here and being able to use the American football dressing room as overflow 🤔

The way they played yesterday reminded me of the end of his time here. He's terrible in those kind of away games, never has the answer. Can't see it working out, just hope he lasts until November so he can get the reception he deserves

Morning after and I do feel their build up and approach work has been good. Jackson will run at defences causing havoc and Sterling had the beating of the full back, but just like last season they're struggling to find a goal scorer.

Carney Chukwuemeka has something about it him, shame about his injury as the goal was a great finish.

Before I agree with you, what sot of reception do you think he deserves...?

I was just about to ask that same question.

For me, it'd be some hearty piss-taking for being at Chelsea and that would be about it.
I'd hope to fuck that nobody would consider singing his name FFS but then, we do have a lot on here that still haven't got over the relationship, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Should we really consider giving a warm reception to a bloody Chelsea manager?
Should we fuck, it should be hostile and uncomfortable, no matter what happened in the past.

Considering Poch was always an advocate of a small, tightly knit and egoless squad, the fact he's ended up at PSG and then Chelsea is baffling. It's the opposite of his football philosophy. That CL run really messed his head up, man. 🤷🏼‍♂️😕

I think they will do ok, although I do wonder what the board expectation is this year.

I think the wider problem is the long term impact of these long contracts. Players have already secured their long-term financial futures and Chelsea pay well.
Young players (most are) not in the first team, could quite easily slip into bad mindsets, soon enough they could have a very toxic situation.
Add to that they have lost most of their leaders on the pitch. Plus their quality wingbacks in Chilwell/James cannot be relied on fitness wise.

I just don't see how can Poch can take the necessary action with underperforming/unmotivated players, that cannot be sold (because of crystallising big losses) and aren't motivated to leave.

This is club that employed Winston Bogarde, they should know better.
