Commentary talking about inconsistency, the fact is we have been consistent, consistently shit, and even awful players (our backline) can have a decent game now and again, hence last weekend. You get more inconsistency when you have lower-ability players like us so its inevitable and will always be the case with player slike Dier, Davies, Sanches, Sessegnon, Royal etc etc
And I can’t see how the solution to having shit defenders is playing more of them. #?442

It’s not that we lost, or even the score line, it’s that Conte sat on his hands and did nothing to try to change it. I’m losing my patience with him.

Conte doesn't look like he wants to be there - he was just passive in both changing tactics/personnel and physically on the touchline.

Let’s start from scratch with someone like Silva. Don’t want Poch back, and certainly don’t want Conte here next season.

So, good odds on…

Levy won’t sack Conte to save paying out.

Conte walks at the end of the season.

Levy hopes we can somehow sleep walk into 4th ahead of Newcastle.

Regardless, Levy hires Poch back because we’re meant to believe he makes it better no matter what, and despite there being no real change at the club this is somehow meant to make us better.

Levy and Poch go back to their regime of Poch wanting Messi and no alternatives. So Levy tells him to use the likes of Winks, Dier, and Lo Celso until they retire.

We all convene back here in a season or two no further ahead than we are now.

About right?

But our turnover is great and we're making millions :cautious:
Yep, that's where it all matters to these fuckers. We're primed and ready to be sold - the truth is, ENIC are just more concerned with milking their cash cow to rinse every bit out of the club. They've never had any interest in making this club winners on the field, and Levy has said that pretty much beforehand. Success on the pitch has always been a secondary concern - nothing more.

Put your agenda away for 30 seconds. How you think any manager would be any better with the clowns we have in defence beggars belief. But yeah let's change the manager for the 397th time eh, it will work this time ?

Actually yes I do think another coach could get more out of the team.

We look completely unstructured today. The complete opposite of last week.

The coaching team need to get the messaging and coaching to the player back to the very basics. Today the players look completely lost and in part that is done to the coach.

We've done fuck all to deserve anything since they equalised. It feels like we could've played for another hour and not scored. Absolutley woeful, especially in contrast with what we saw a week ago. Putting in an absolute shocker a week after an outstanding performance is very Tottenham though. All we needed was a player interview or 2 in between talking about how much we believee we could build on the City win and kick on.

As good as the City performance was, this was equally as horrific.

Be easy to name individuals (Peresic, Porro, Dier, Sonny, Kulu) but they were as a team, fucking horrendous. With the injury to Bentancur, not sure that could have gone any worse. Typical fucking Spurs.

Yes we have some shit players.
But even the most basic of basic such as pass and move we don't do when we have the ball. It's pass and stand still.

Movement for the player on the ball is dreadful too. The man on the ball should always have at least two passing options and if he doesn't then his teammates need to be moving into positions where he does. Instead it's a lot of standing around waiting for something to happen.
Passing and moving requires players to have a good touch, the ability to carry the ball away from press players with short bursts of speed/agility and to have a picture of what’s around them before they receive the ball. From that starting 11 today Tanganga, Dier, Davies, Hojbjerg and Perisic are all unable to do these things. If you play pass and move football you need at least 80% of your players to be good on the ball, probably even higher than that even. I’ll fucking die on this hill, the problem is not the manager, it is the players

Why are people instantly saying Kane is gone if Conte leaves? Maybe Kane is also fed up with Conte as some of us are.
