bunch of ferdinand humpers in here, the safe option. People seem to be afraid to say that King is the best when he clearly is. I dont want to read any more bulldump saying ferdinands better, our Ledders makes him look ordinary. Stick that in your pipe you buffoons

Any list which has Carragher on it is pointless. Hate the fella.

Pathetic list though, Vermaelen only played what, 2 premier league games. Hangeland has only been in the Prem for 1 and half seasons.

Woodgate should be on that list tbh. Surprised Toure isn't there either, he had a poor season last year though I suppose.

If Ledders played in the CL, he'd be rated as the best. Unfortunately he hasn't had the chance to keep quiet glamorous opposition like Barcelona, Madrid etc in high-profile games.

Hopefully that changes next season.

I think the thing that says it all for me, i the fact that Fabio Cappello picked him for the England Team, even though he couldn't play, ad he knew what a fuss it would cause.

Cappello knows his defenders, definately, and he wants him to play for England. I would be vey surprised if he is not picked for the world cup squad, providing he is fit and able to play a couple of key matches.

This is how much he rates him, I can't remember exactly wha Cappello said, but it was along the lines of "I just wanted to meet him to suss out exactly what he can/can't do in terms of playing for England, He is one of the best defenders I have seen" That is probably miles away from what he said, but you get my gist!! :)

So for me he would be number one, but unfortunately, he can't be, because he cannot play reguarly enough.

No Upson or Jagielka? How the fuck do they know Vermaelen is so good after just two games? Could it be because Arsene Wenger signed him? The Mirror showing themselves up again I see.

Am I the only one who thinks that Lescott is massively overrated?
