I have never seen anyone who could just brush off Sandro so effortlessly as Traore. Stronger physically than Drogba and Balotelli combined. Unsure about his footballing abilities though.

Traore is a bit of a freak, basically. He's so big you think he would be awkward and clumsy on the ball, but he's got a surprisingly decent first touch that has really improved over the past season or so. He's only 23, so it's understandable that he continues to figure out how to use his body to better himself as a player. I think in a couple years time he could be very, very good.

I'd love to see what he could do in the EPL. His style of play could work just about anywhere, but I think he would really thrive as a target man in the EPL. Capable of hold up play, playing on the counter or functioning as a target man, he's got a lot of ability and different things he can do to beat you.

I like the Anjhi guy Traore. He is so strong and would offer us something different when brute strength is needed.

I'm with you. He was impressive against us in the second half. Does he actually score many goals though ?

Artem Dzyuba is a similar type of striker. He's had a fantastic start to the season and while he is 2 years older than Traore (25), he will probably come at a cheaper fee. That is, of course, unless Anzhi decides they will sell Traore for peanuts just to bring in additional money.

According to reports, Traore is available for 7.5m. We should bite their hands off for that price.

I don't see why he couldn't potentially. At the same age, Drogba scored only 5 goals in 21 games for Le Mans in France that season.

I think the striker I would really like is Hernandez, not getting games at United. Imo we should try to sell Defoe and Ade and bring Hernandez in. Similar to Soldado in a lot of ways but I think he's different in enough ways that he would be a great alternative in a lot of games and give us options for rotation.

I'd go all-in for Hernandez and fold it instantly on Damiao.

I don't think there's any question that he's a talented player. Anyone that watches him on his game he does tend to stand out in a big way. It's just that he should have moved 2 years ago to keep his progression going. Instead, he stuck around, Internacional held on to him and look at where he's at now. His progression arrow is on a steep decline and now Internacional are holding on to a guy they know should be worth more but simply isn't because they got greedy.

I agree. I think that he is not playing well cos he wanted to leave but Inter kept hold. Now he's just passing time until they sell him

We should just bid £25+ for Benteke in January. No fucking about.

I'm positive Defoe will be making noises for a move and if he's in good form we could still get £8-10m for him. We have the money to stump up the rest.

Maybe even get JD involved somehow...

Two birds, one stone.

The only young striker I want is Rodrigo and I don't see why he wouldn't be available at a reasonable-ish price.

He looked cack for the under 21s in the summer. I don't know if he's been doing well for Benfica since but he looked very one dimensional to me.

Like someone else said, Benteke would be ideal. He was my first choice in the summer and frankly who even cares if he's overpriced, it's not our money! Not sure where that would leave Soldado though, I doubt he signed to sit on our bench in a World Cup year.

We'll regret not getting Benteke in the summer.
And if we do sign him now we'll regret spending that much money on Soldado,
who I think will only fetch 10m if we tried to sell him (if even that considering the spanish clubs financial state).
Can't see Soldado (at his age and situation) happy playing second fiddle at Spurs,
he's been a starter and super star for similar size club for years - already lost his national team spot as well.

The way football is played in England, with physical beasts at central defence.
Combined with all teams this season (even Arsenal) laying low against us.
It's not making it easy for someone with the playing style of Soldado (or Defoe for that matter).
Someone with extreme qualities are needed as no space will be given.

I really like Soldado, but I'm not sure he was the right player for us.
Hopefully opponents will open up more as the season progress,
if Bob get into the scoring opportunities then he'll take them more times than not.

With Soldado already on our books, maybe Traore would make more sense than Benteke.
He'd give us an option when something else is needed. Still hoping for Adebayor to come back as the player he can be though.

I think if we're really serious we could even go over 100 quid.
