He's young, doesn't speak the language, hasn't been playing as much as he wants and wants to go to the WC.
For his old man to come out with this probably means it's true, as oshi said its a PR disaster for the club....

Brian Lamela, his brother, is denying on Twitter that he is going anywhere and retweeting loads of stuff about Spurs fans rating him and wanting him to stay etc...

The whole situation is a farce. How can he be expected to settle when he doesn't play? He cost us 30m and has already carried River and shone at Roma. Give him a run of games FFS.

If he leaves before 4-4-Tim gives him a chance I'm taking a break from spurs.

We could just ditch lennon and townsend and keep lamela, much better idea.
Hes twice the player they will ever be.
Midtable mentality some fans.

Or we can keep all 3, use them for first team and squad players...

Bigger picture and all... some fans just see first team only!

Absolutely disgusted with this and I predicted this would happen. Only spurs can spend 30 mil and break their record but don't play him FFs!!! He has been treated like shit and barely got a sniff while players like Lennon who barely muster an assist or goal plays every game. I'm furious

Lennon apparently destroyed ManU buy touching the ball some 7 times in the first half. Yup, really involved in the game.

As for Townsend, yeah, maybe he could do something on the left and their is a chance for him out there, as I would prefer Eriksen orchestrating in the middle.

Lamela should be playing, if he has been injured for the past couple of games, then fair enough, but when he is fit, should be a starter.

Pic - Passes and crosses (first half).

EDIT, Sorry, a total of 11 (don't understand why they just don't put them both together.

So in the first half, Lennon only managed 2/4 passes forward, and managed to get 1 completed pass into the box. If I remember rightly, he only managed to get the ball 3 times in the first 30 mins.

In the second half, he got on the ball more, but only had one pass in the box and no crosses at all, and that single pass was the was deflected one for Eriksen to score.

I really can not fathom the love affair with Lennon, he is all pace and nothing else, with no end product. I like him, but he is a impact sub as best.

He didn't destroy Manu, he done nearly fuck all (going forward), especially in the first 40 mins.

OKAY, Edit again, Second half performance.

As you can see ummmm, no crosses in the second half, plenty of passing the ball backwards. Yup, he terrorised ManU by providing nearly nothing.

I watched the game he had the beating of Evra and then he did nothing with it. Brilliant, I hate this Lennon love affair.

Its very simple play him....in fairness to Sherwood Lamela has been injured.

Nobody can say what sort of player he is because frankly we've not seen enough of him.

How about the fact that he's been more productive this season than the other two despite not being settled in yet? Why should he not? Because he's not English? Because he hasn't played in England before?

Playing largely against the weaker teams in Europa though? Not really a like for like comparison.

I like Lamela but as I mentioned there seems to be an element of the Dos Santos feelings from our fans in that the longer he is out the side the more amazing he gets.

I think he will play some part on Saturday, probably as a sub.

not sure Man U is a good example to use in this respect, especially when not using another game where he has played well in comparison.

Man U concentrated the bulk of their attacks down our left wing in that first half - Look at how many passes Valencia had compared to Januzzi and in relative terms it was probably a similar difference to lennon and Erikson.

Also, lennon had more than 7 touches (you have discounted his crosses) and actually spent just over 50% of his time in our own half close to our area in the first half.

His defensive abilities, commitment and speed were essential for the game we were playing.

Him and Lennon are different players and offer different things.

Lamela in contrast when he started away to southampton by your own critique of lennon should also be pulled up on his performance no?

Im just playing devils advocate bro. you need to bring all the facts to the table not just say "lamela should be a starter because lennon had a poor game vs Man U".

He was getting his chance and he will get more. No one should be in the team just based on reputation and that goes for lennon too.
