Very true, although I would love to have Frenkie de Jong in our team.

I would love de Jong too but take out an ageing Messi, de Jong and the hot and cold Dembele and you’re left with a very average team.

It’s a massive game for both Real and Barca but whereas Real are playing their normal 1st XI/formation, Barca have set up very defensively.

He’s having an excellent season but prior to this and despite still scoring 20+ goals a season he’s been very hit and miss with his finishing and work rate. He’ll also be 34 this December.
True. I do feel his movement and unselfishness in attack is very underappreciated. He’s made Madrid work in attack almost by himself these past 2 seasons.

This ref takes great joy in making it about himself. Could have given a pen there but yes it might have been harsh. Also could have given a yellow for a dive. But giving 2 yellows for dissent to Mingueza and Koemen is a bit absurd when you are indecisive.

That was embarrassing... player goes down like he’s been shot despite being barely touched and the players go berserk asking for a penalty... it was never ever ever a penalty.

Nah it was borderline. A bit of a shirt pull back. Really could have gone either way. Wouldnt fault him for giving a pen but also wouldnt fault him for giving Braithwaite a yellow for diving. Doing nothing on the actual play was...wrong. Ref giving yellows for dissent though was harsh

Barca's third in the Copa del Rey final was a Messi special.

I think I’ve seen it all now. Real Madrid awarded penalty after Sevilla sent all of their players up on a corner kick and Real countered. Replay shows that Militao touched the ball on the corner kick and Sevilla is awarded a penalty ?

FT Levante 3 - 3 Barcelona

Seems like Barca don't want it then with 2 draws in one week. Tomorrow Atletico v Real Sociedad and Thursday Granada v Real Madrid.
