I've always backed him on this forum, but it became evident that he had to leave. With Walker & Yedlin, & Dier covering to an acceptable degree too, & the fact that Naughton really is good enough for 1st team football in the PL, it was just time.

Good on ya Kyle and best of luck at Swansea!!! (y)

Seems a nice bloke but not quite talented enough to hold a starting spot at Spurs. He'll fit in well at Swansea methinks :watching:

I met him once, really nice guy who deserves first team football. Not good enough to make our starting XI but too good to be rotting on the bench. Best of luck to him at Swansea.

Just another way to keep those lines of communication and positive vibes with Swansea going strong. I feel like that's a great club to have "in your corner." Even if they aren't producing talent we can purchase, they still function as a great club to give some of our players that are on the cusp of breaking through with us a valuable loan spell. And, they've also proven important in shifting off players that aren't looking to be in our plans.

I like that they play a nice brand of football and any players that go there on loan are likely going to come back as better players.

Decent player, I liked what he brought to the table in the attacking 3rd with decent delivery and good use of the ball, and he was generally solid defensively at RB. Not really good enough for where we aspire to be, but I'm not sure Walker is either truth be told. Hopefully Yedlin can make an impression and push Walker to up his game

Saw this on twitter:

@TheTottenhamWay: #thfc Levy'd! The Sheffield Star reckons Sheff United will miss out on a % of Naughts' fee, despite agreeing a sell-on clause w/ Spurs.

If true, dear leader truly is a cheap c*nt

Or is it because there isn't much if any difference between what we paid for Naughton and what we sold him for ? So none or little profit to be shared.

It seems the Spurs and Swansea chairmen get along. They did a bit of creative work over Davies and Vorm as well.

Sheffield United are unlikely to receive a slice of the £5m transfer fee Kyle Naughton will command when he completes his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Swansea City, writes James Shield.

Although officials at Bramall Lane inserted a sell-on clause into the deal which saw the defender and his team mate Kyle Walker join the Premier League club six years ago, The Star understands it will only be triggered if Spurs negotiate a percentage return on their initial investment.

According to one source last night, the terms of the proposed agreement negotiated between the Londoners and their counterparts in south Wales means that United’s claim has effectively been rendered null and void.
