Wimmer WUM?

This one seems to be quite likely for the summer. Fits out normally pursuit of young lesser known talent that will improve. Every time I see your posts I always ready your name as Vagisil, must be the dyslexic in me but quite unfortunate!

I'd say Deli Ali definitely is, as he knows him from MK. But Baldini is supposed to be the guy with the broad knowledge and networks.
Wouldn't be surprised if Baldini and the club part ways mutually at the end of the season when Mitchell gets his staff together.

Austrian defender Kevin Wimmer figures prominently on the list of defenders Tottenham are considering for next season,.

The centre-back, who plays for Cologne in Germany, is one of his club’s prized assets, along with goalkeeper Timo Horn - who Spurs are also closely monitoring.

Standard Sport understands Spurs have maintained their interest after an initial enquiry in January and they are confident they could secure Wimmer’s signature should they decide to make it formal with a bid of £5 million.

The 22-year-old is under contract for the next four years, yet Tottenham still feel he could be prised away from Cologne.

Wimmer’s club are fighting relegation from the Bundesliga, where they are two points above the bottom three. He is 6ft 2ins, left-footed and can also play at left-back, although he prefers to operate in the middle.

The Cologne talent earns about £15,000 a week at his current club but his representatives would be looking for more than double that salary. It is believed Wimmer would accept a basic wage of about £35,000 a week.

His profile matches that of the players chairman Daniel Levy likes to sign — young, earning relatively low wages, and with potential resale value.

Mauricio Pochettino is already looking ahead to next season and has identified central defence as an area that needs improvement.

Both Younes Kaboul and Vlad Chiriches will be allowed to leave while Federico Fazio has had an inconsistent debut season. The future of Jan Vertonghen is also up for discussion after he revealed he would not be signing a new deal.

Was sent off in the last minute today in a 4-2 victory. From what I saw I don't think he's ready for the Premiership yet.

Very interesting, said he even made a visit to London. No other transfer discussion on the site, let alone conjectured bullshit, and the director's quotes a rather indicative. May be something in it.

This looked very possible in the January window. They commented about our interest and I'm not surprised we're following up now before the window to get this done. Could be a nice bit of Austrian/German efficiency to add to our wayward back line.
