Didn’t he say that last time too?
Having better or more option as backup would negate the need to keep rushing him back. This is what happens when a player becomes larger than the club. He should not be choosing when to play and the manager needs to stop him playing every game.
He needs to be managed better.
I do wonder at what point these continual ankle ligament injuries start to permanently affect him, if they haven't already. Noone can fault his professionalism and dedication, but he's only human and even the very best players can succumb to injury problems.
I know nothing about such injuries, but I've read in a few places that after the ligaments get badly injured once, they are never as strong. I don't think we should sell Kane, but I do wonder if there could come a point where the world-record fee we would surely demand (and probably receive) would be worth it to us, bearing in mind the risk of injuries, to his ankles or whatever.
Again, I am not advocating selling Kane.

I just can't understand why we can't find a competent striker as back up. Doesn't need to be amazing. Just good.Having better or more option as backup would negate the need to keep rushing him back.
Agree but we keep hearing the quote of who is going to come in and play second fiddle to Kane, but we are hardly in the marketplace for Messi so there is and will be people out there if we are committed enough.I just can't understand why we can't find a competent striker as back up. His left ankle. Probably ligaments.Do we actually know what hes done ?

I don't understand why we can't have two.
We used to have 3 or 4 when we were not so good. So I doubt it is because they will play second fiddle to Kane. Players need to believe they can have a chance to play. Sometimes I feel Poch has particular favourites that just cannot be dropped and players know it. Kane and Lloris.
I'd also like to see Kane play No. 10 sometimes, with a 9 in front of him.
Having depth in every position is so important and we have been so dependant on Kane.
I'd love to get Timo Werner.
Son comes in and does a great job no question coming in from wide positions etc but I still think we need more options through the middle as llorente isn't the answer, so from my view nothing changes and we need more options in there during Kane's annual absence.
Don't get me wrong I love sonny but sometimes I find both him and moura quite erratic shooting etc can be way off in some cases but maybe poch might take a similar route to Liverpool with advanced midfield player's filling the gaps instead of buying a striker or when llorente goes, whatever happens it's pochs decision and opinion that counts and whatever he decides to do I will support thatLlorente has started 2 (two) Premiership games this season and that's with Kane and Dele being injured for long periods and Son away at the Asian games so whoever we bring in is going to have to accept that they will have limited game time and I cannot for the life of me see who that player is which is why at the moment we have a perfect balance in the forward line.
He's not bigger than the club but the club need to be firmer with him and need to tell Englad that they can get fucked if they think he's going to the Mickey Mouse Cup in PortugalThis is what happens when a player becomes larger than the club.
