My mate all week been laughing at Barca fans and journo's and I told him the other day he sounds like a Spurs fan just before Chelsea swoop in and that it won't be long until there's a moon face sent in his direction when reality sets in. Soon ?.

I'm still not sure, he may still also agree terms with Chelsea and I believe their offer to Sevilla may be higher. It would be tasty though, Chelsea have been chasing a CB since day one of the window and they keep losing out on them.

I think it is obvious that the player would prefer Barca.

Going the same way as Raphina

If a player is keen on Barca then it's best to run in the opposite direction because Barca will put the onus on that player to do the work for them.

For a club that is allegedly in financial strife, they sure aren’t acting like they have any cashflow issues. Perhaps their money worries have been overstated, as they’ve been spending like drunken sailors this summer.

No they keep selling future tv rights money. It's extremely short term, their lawyers must be confident there's a loophole in there or they know something we all don't regarding the future of how their games will be viewed or what league those games will be in.

I think they are banking on the super league at some point in the near future.

They’re betting on a Super League windfall

Edit: Aphex beat me to it.

can't believe that Kounde prob turned down 200k to get paid in thin mints, monopoly money and two random pieces from the board game operation.

I got pelters in the thread last summer for saying exactly the same thing. But apparently he’s got a good jump on him was the argument.
imagine the arguments if we had signed martiez from ajax ?? he is basically 5 foot nothing isn't he?

Chelsea USED to screw us but those days are gone.
it's beginning to look that Boehly may have underestimated the transfer system in football and it's not as easy as he thought it would be.
You get the feeling the old Abramovich regime could grease the wheels when things became difficult and i'm not sure Boehly will be able to do that, hence why they've missed out on quite a few deals.

Looks done to Barca.
Lovely gazzumping this window

I'm sure they'll just splurge on Kimpembe or something but if they can't strengthen adequately at the back then I put us ahead of them. It's very close atm.

Tuchel seems fuming though so I can see Boehly start to overpay in panic, hopefully for average players.
