I'm from Swansea. If you think it's weird how many Spurs fans from Swansea on the forum, you have to understand how truly awful Swansea were in the late 90s/early 00s. I remember going to a third division game against Peterborough as a teenager and watching a 0-0 draw in which there were no shots. No on target or off target shots from either team. Any self-respecting Swansea kid had a Premier league team as well.
On topic, Rodon is a really really promising player - he's a similar level to where Davies or James were at Swansea probably their biggest value asset. Really excellent promise and only 22. Tall (6'4'') and good in the air, and has that calmness that good centrebacks display both in defending and passing. But he's had a lot of injuries in the last two years and only made 20 starts last year and 23 the year before. I certainly think he's going to be a great player and deserves to be in the Premier League, but he would be an investment rather than a plug and play like Skriniar.

we should be predatory as hell on this basis if we can over next week. Homegrown prospects on sale and the loan back would allow them to keep developing and not totally screw their original clubs.

Spending money for the sake of it when you don't get the top target to improve the starting 11 ... Isn't that a conflict of interest? Not doubting the players talent, but there are levels here.
