Jiri Jarosik is hoping that Spurs firm up their interest in him.

"However, I feel the Premiership offers me more than Scottish football. In my eyes, it is the best league in the world and I want to play in it again.

"I heard my name linked with a move to Tottenham and if that was to work out it would be interesting. They are an ambitious club."

Didn't this story first emerge a month or so ago, in virtually the exact same manner (i.e. coming from him and / or his agent).

I doubt if there is anything in it, certainly hope not, probably just the usual rubbish of a player / players agent using our name to drum up more interest or increase any offer already on the table.

Can't see what he'd bring to our squad, and wouldn't be in keeping with our transfer policy of buying young or buying people who's value would increase.

Jarosik Wants Celtic Exit

Jiri Jarosik has informed Celtic that he wants to move on from Parkhead this summer.

The Czech Republic international only joined The Bhoys last summer, but claims he is not cut out for life in the SPL and is yearning for a return to the Premiership.

Jarosik claims to have heard talk about a move to Tottenham and admits it would be a dream to head for White Hart Lane.

"Coach Strachan has confirmed he wants me to stay but I told him how I feel about the situation," Jarosik told the Daily Record.

We really don't need him and wouldn't improve the squad, although he doesn't seem like the worst player when i have watched him.
