It's what happens when you have top players, to be honest I'm surprised its taken so long for Jan to be honest, and lets face it he would be a perfect fit for Barca!

Personally, I have no idea what our supposed "special relationship" with Real Madrid means in practical terms. I haven't even seen any evidence of some of our academy prospects training with them or vice versa.

I know but by setting these threads up it's like we are perpetuating the myth that our best players are up for grabs. Do you think man city's forums transfer section are full of threads of their best players being linked with moves.

Best just to leave the paper shit where it belongs IMO and just enjoy speculating about all the amazing talent we might attract.

Actually I think our relationship with RM isn't about the football side, I think it's business best practice related!

Yup. In hindsight, I'm amazed we had such a clear run at him last summer.

He was Captain of Ajax, clearly a very good defender who's excellent on the ball and a leader too. With the warrior Puyol getting injured more frequently, and Pique having some dips in form, Barca really needed another CB but made no efforts to get one.

It also raises the point that i dont care how they want to run their transfer forum.

Non-story, they're desperate for central defender and need one rather quickly. Direct no thanks to inquiries and they'll turn to next, Chelsea and Pool hardly had to be say no hundred times to switch their attentions elsewhere.
