Is it right/fair that King plays in big games?

I'll tell you what's NOT fair, King not being able to play that often.

Otherwise, no, it's what the team needed and the others surely have to accept that.

it won't annoy the younger players, because who better to learn from - but the King himself.

As long as he is around playing, he plays when he wants to, and when he is fit enough, he is just that damn good. King is the best central defender in the premiership when he is fit.

Dawson doesn't seem to suit Ramos as he has no pace at all, Woodgate will be our first choice alongside King if and when he is fit.

Kaboul is the up and coming new player, he has shown talent but because he is young and was thrown in at the deep end he has struggled to find form, since Ramos took over he has looked a lot better, Kaboul will become an exceptional talent in years to come. Really rate the guy.

Should be interesting if we sign Jarque as well - as he is another awesome centre back.

With a squad of Kaboul, Jarque, King, Woodgate and Dawson as fifth choice. and wing backs of Hutton, Gunter, Bale and Gilberto. We are going to have one awesome defence next season.

Now we just have to sort out the defensive midfielder and left winger.

Is it fair that Kaboul gets a winners medal for his fifteen minutes in the final yet Jamie O'hara does not (as far as I know) yet did well throughout the rounds before?

I would love to see both Woodgate and King for England, but at the moment I'd almost rather not see them even picked, through fear of them both getting injured.
Woodgate has been class, I don't remember any players woh made such an impact in their frist 4 games, as he has done.

So, at least for this season, like someone else already said, I'd like King to be picked for the Uefa Cup games, maybe the odd league game, but keep him wrapped up so he can have a pre-season.
I don't know how he starts one game in a month and is one of the best players on the pitch, against an apaprently world class team...

And against, what is probably the best striker in thw world at the moment as well..

Un bloody real.

Legend, just hope he can stay fit.

You can guarantee King to be the difference-maker at the back and anyone who plays alongside him automatically ups their game and they don't even realise it.

He's not Vice Captain or Team Captain he is Club Captain and you only get that by showing the loyalty and commitment that he has over the years.

Do you think Gerrard, Terry, or Neville would not be included for the big matches if there was half a chance they would be available?

Only for Wafer games please. I'd like to see Kaboul given the chance in prem games, he's had a bad start but now that we've qualified for Europe there's a little less pressure so he should be able to concentrate on his games.

I can see Kaboul benefiting from a bit of mentoring from Ledders actually. If he could adopt Ledley's aproach to the game he could improve alot.

For me, Ledders has contributed loads to our club over the years and should be the first name on the team sheet whenever he can get up off his stretcher. Fully deserving of his place. And thats just an emotional perspective with regards to class and quality it's a complete no-brainer :)

When any of the rest of the squad can claim to have given as many years of outstanding service as Ledley King, then perhaps they can reasonably have a complaint. Until then, he's a class above any other defender at this club (bar maybe Woody), nay most defenders in the league. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else at the back on Sunday, even if it had been his first game of the season!

Ask Kaboul if he'd rather have played the whole 120 minutes on Sunday and lost or come off the bench - after watching 100 minutes of a Ledley masterclass - to help us win the trophy.

As Flatters so eloquently put it, Ledders can do what the fuck he wants.

Who gives a fuck if it upsets Kaboul, Dawson et al? If they played a bit better they wouldn't be the second string.

There is only one question. Is it right for Tottenham Hotspur? The answer is an absolute Yes. King plays when he wants and where he wants.

It's a no brainer.

I don't think this would cross any of the players mind for a single second.

For me it's more about who's best - you have to field your best team and Ledley IS the best!!
