Since the 1950's we are one of two English clubs to have won a trophy in every decade. The other is Man Utd.

Hurry up boys, you've got two more seasons to keep up this record.

No lie, this plays on my mind every few months. I'd be gutted if we don't keep up this record

Here's one for a pub quiz.
Our all time leading appearance holder in the premier league?

Darren. Anderton.

Yeah, I'm as baffled as you.

Were most of those before he got injured or late sub appearances when coming back from injury?

Tottenham have created Premier League history by becoming the first team to beat the same opponent by four goals or more in 4 consecutive meetings according to Opta.

I know he had the sicknote tag, but remember he was here for 12 seasons. When you consider that our longest serving first team players - Lloris, Vertonghen and Dembele (Rose and Kane have been here longer but were in the youth teams) - have only done five and a half seasons, you can see why he's still a bit of a way out in front.

I'd guess that Defoe and maybe Lennon and Dawson too have made more appearances for us overall because we couldn't get into Europe when Anderton was here, but for PL only he is in first place.

He was injured a lot but as pointed out, was here a long time. Had his injuries not been such a problem either he'd have played closer to 500 than the 260 odd he played, orrrr, he'd have left.

Oct 1983.
The first live football league match.
Tottenham v Forest on ITV

Went 1-0 down pretty early then spent the entire game playing really well and trying to get back into the game

We scored 2 late goals to win it. Cracking game and atmosphere

Blimey only 33 years ago. Bloody hell!!

Woolwich too was also once outside London and some fans still refer to the wandering football team originally from there as the Woolwich Kents. True that.
