Spurs have provided the highest number of England internationals with 78. Villa are second with 73 and all the others are in the 60's or below.

Anyone one else got any insignificant and mildly interesting gems others might not know?

Yep I've 'boasted' that fact to a Spam supporting mate in the past who replied 'that's why England have won naff all since the Hammers delivered the World Cup in '66'

I was there that day, Chas and Dave did a turn too I seem to remember, can’t remember if it was before, ht or after the game though?
This is the only thing I’ve learnt from this thread and even that is patchy. If you know your history...

Whew, I nearly called the thread "Stuff Dougal doesn't know".

Bullet dodged there

Before the internet, when I were a lad, we scrounged around for every snippet we could find about our beloved club. On the tour of White Hart Lane they used to stop at a big board displaying our many internationals, pointing out that we supplied the most England internationals. That were 20 odd years ago. Simpler times. And folk were happy.

from memory I think Steve Archibald was the only person to appear on top of the pops twice in different bands in 1982 for our cup song and the Scottish world cup song

Glen and Chris might disagree.

Think I'm correct in saying that England have never got passed the first group stage of a World Cup without spurs players in the team.

Sandy Brown (Spurs ) was the first player to score in every round of the FA cup.

Scoring 15 goals on the way to us becoming eventual winners of our first FA cup in 1901.

A triumph that saw Spurs become the first non league club to lift the trophy. A feat that still stands today some 116 years later.
