When we started out on this Olympic Park adventure most of us thought it was just a bargaining ploy and we were all set for the NDP however it now seems that the club have second thoughts on that, It may be a bit premature but if, and it now seems certain, we don’t get the Olympic stadium and the NDP has been pronounced “dead in the water” then we are in a state of limbo with a stadium all designed but with nowhere to put it.
Now I know Daniel Levy plays his cards close to his chest but when he was asked live on TV the other day if we had a Plan B I’m sure his face betrayed a hint of a smile so I now wonder if it is and always was the NDP or perhaps he’s already scouted out some alternative sites. If this is the case then where could they be? Would he look close by or further afield in North London perhaps even on the M25 rim or outside in the home counties?
From my local knowledge I could suggest the New River Stadium in White Hart Lane or perhaps a super new stadium in Alexandra Park with the Iconic North London showpiece Alexandra Palace as our backdrop, the old Frying Pan race course would surely be perfect!
Any suggestions?
