Past - Coming face to face with Bill Nick on a train back from an away game.
Future - to meet Dave Mackay !
Future - to meet Dave Mackay !
I'm sure most of you have seen the photo. I was about to hold the European Cup-Winners' Cup through the gates at WHL when the team brought the cup home. A never to be forgotten moment.
Close second was winning a draw to buy two face value Cup Final tickets in 1962 and going to Wembley to see us beat Burnley, even more so because my late dad and I went together. We had been to a mid-week game at the Lane on a dreary, rainy night and there was a half-time announcement that anyone braving the elements to support our team deserved the chance to go to Wembley and they called out some turnstile ticket numbers as a ballot. My number came up! If I remember correctly face value was 5/- (five shillings) per ticket and my dad was more than happy to pay up.
You did not say hullo to me.
Crestfallen.

Hoddle 1-2 with Ossie then a volley into the back of the net v Man U.
Most have been covered that I would of mentioned. But beating the European Champions 3-1 at the Lane in our debut season in the Champions League was truly special IMO. The quality of the opposition and to do it in the manner we did was truly awesome.
This gets me every time. I was in love with those 2 men, still am a wee bit. Many highlights in my 25+ years of following Spurs, the standouts being:
Lifting the FA Cup in '91
Klinsmann's debut
Ginola's goal against Barnsley
Anderton's goal against Leeds
Allan Neilsen's diving header to win the League Cup
Dimitar Berbatov's goal against Charlton
Paul Robinson scoring
Jonathon Woodgate's head to win another League Cup
Robbie Keane searching for Berbatov after winning said cup, tears streaming from his eyes.
Gomes' saves to get us the Champions League
Gareth Bale decimating Maicon
Gareth Bale all this last season
But #1 for all my life will be Gazza's freekick against Arsenal at Wembley.
