If you're thinking in terms of the future, this guy makes perfect sense and you would probably look to move on Sissoko due to his contract status, age, and what you can probably get for him now versus in a couple of years.

You would then have DMs of Hojbjerg and Sangare, box-to-box MF of Winks, N'dombele, Gedson and AMs of Lo Celso and Dele - which can lead to some really creative partnerships depending on the opposition. I just can't really see it happening unless a few leave.
A few have left and a few more could leave... all possible.

Vorm - expired
Vertonghen - expired
-
KWP - sold
-
Skipp - Loan
Parrot - Loan
-
Rose - flagged to sell according to the papers
Aurier - flagged to sell according to the papers & ITK
Foyth - flagged to sell but will probably go out on loan first
Lamela - flagged to sell according to ITK
Sissoko - flagged to sell according to ITK
-
Gazza - suggested by some he'll go to free up a HG spot
-
Ndombele - wants out

I don't really rate Kondogbia too highly, but for those who seem to rate these technically average, big lumps, wouldn't he make more sense than Sangare? He's proven than he's alright in a top league and Valencia are apparently skint. He's also 27, so more in line with the finished article type players we've been linked with (Doherty and Wilson) or just signed. Also we have Skipp as a young DM to develop.

I think the only remaining signing that is a given is RB. Everything else I think will depend on a combination of who is available (to us) and who we can sell. I can’t see another CM without one of Sissoko or Ndombele leaving and likewise can’t see an AM/ Winger without Lamela leaving.

Maybe a striker is less departure dependant but will still need the right player available at the right price.
Surely we've got to get a striker in. Not doing so would be catastrophic and i'd wager we'd win nothing.

There's no chance all those leave imo. If we're lucky one of the 6 still here will go, probably Aurier by the sounds of it. I hope this isn't the case, but I think we'll manage to do one more transfer before the season starts (RB or ST) and for anything else we'll probably have to get creative with loans and swaps because I can't see where the money is coming from.

Yeah, I'd be very surprised if we were able to offload Lamela & Sissoko.

Would be an incredibly pleasant surprise, but one I can’t see happening. Even offloading one for acceptable money would be surprising to me.

Here's an extra inch video on him:

I like the idea if we end up selling Sissoko, he'll give us cover for PEH while still being able to play alongside him. With the amount of games we're going to have in a short timeframe Sangare wouldn't be a bad pickup.

This guy would know football as it appears he was playing in midfield for RB Leipzig on Tuesday..

We are in fact signing Limahl from Kajagoogoo Utd - he's a very modest, bashful chap, some would say 'Too Shy'

Just my 2 cents....in my ideal scenario I'd like to see us sell Lamela and Sissoko and replace them with Sangare and Sabitzer. Our midfield will be looking a hell of a lot stronger than how paper thin it's been over the last 2 seasons.

Obviously funds permitting and RB and a striker are still priority after who we've already signed. I'd love to see this happen though.

Which disappears over the heads of the whippersnappers in this thread, and never reached the radar of the boomers...

I think the only remaining signing that is a given is RB.

I think Mourinho would quit before ending this window without us having signed a backup option to Kane. It's absolutely mad that we haven't had this sorted already, another window without resolving this would be mental.

In terms of rumours we currently have at least 2 rumoured options for the following positions:

RB, CB, LB, CM, WF and CF.

I think it's unlikely we're going to address all those options, but realistically I can see is signing 3 defenders, an additional midfielder and a Kane backup, which would take us to 7 signings for the summer.

So far we've barely spent a penny, assuming that we got loan fees for both Parrot and Skipp.

If Aurier and Foyth both leave then that will be at least £30m in funds. We can probably bring in two players for around an extra £10m here. If Sissoko or Lamela leaves then we can replace with a midfielder for about £15m uplift. There should be an already separate budget for the CF but that should only be about £20m.

That's about a £45m spend to solve most of the holes in the squad, I think we have that amount give or take.

Anything beyond this would be Ndombele dependant, if we sell him then we'll have another £50m to spend.
