He's definitely more Kondogbia or Imbula, than Gueye, Kante or Ndidi. The second group have shown the type of player that is very effective in the Prem. They seem to float across the ground, at a rapid pace, and really hunt the ball down. Florentino Luis is a player in that mould.

Sangare is one of those big units, that is a good ball winner, but nothing much else. He's a poor passer, which is already a concern with PEH. Sangare's passing hasn't shown any signs of getting better and I don't really see why it would, as he's just not a technically gifted player. He's not one of those young players were there looks like there is much more to come from. He already makes a lot of tackles and interceptions and this has been at the same level for the last 2 years. His passing, as I've already said, doesn't seem to have improved over time and when you watch him, it's not going to either. He's not really a goal threat. Really, he's just a ball winner and I think the more nimble players, like Kante and Ndidi are better suited to Prem football.

I have to respectfully disagree mate. Ive seen him a a reasonable amount of times (probably 8 or 9) and each time I'd say his passing has been pretty decent. There were no raking 30 yard passes but you are over-egging it by saying that his passing is poor and worse still saying it won't improve.

He's a very good tackler, strong, due to his height and athleticism, he has been able to dominate in midfield in France. I think him and PEH in a double pivot would really give us great solidity and bite in midfield. Moreover, Sangare is very very good at forcing turnovers in midfield and if he could then release the ball to GLC and the front 3, I could see us getting a lot of goals that way.

He has the attributes, the main unknowns are about how he would transition to this league and settle etc.

I'll also add that alot of his passes are attempts forward as opposed to the sideways, back passes we seem to have become accustomed to with alot of our midfield players of late.

As for slow, nah, he can drive forward from deep no problem.

What is poor passing then if they are no 30 yard passes, yet his pass completion rate is under 80%, which is low by CM standards? His passing accuracy would rank him 152 in the Prem. For a DM, that's very low. He doesn't seem to have good technique and his passing stats were no better in the season just gone, to the previous season, so why would it suddenly improve? He's not a 12 year old kid.

He's a good ball winner, but I can't see him playing for a top team challenging got a CL spot.

Passing accuracy means absolutely nothing about how good his passing is

Kane has one of the lowest passing accuracy for PL striker, is he a bad passer? Same with Eriksen/KDB/Bruno

They aren't DM's. If you read what I said, then you wouldn't be bringing them up.

It depends on the style of play and tactical instruction. A deep lying midfielder can be expected to start a counter attack or play from deep (Toby style), so as they always are, statistics are completely redundant without specific context.

I dont think he looks good on the ball. Very Sissoko-esque.

He does look very good a nicking the ball away from the opponents though.

He was dreadful at Norwich???

One week ago we bought player who is ideal to play with Ndombele and Lo Celso in midfield three.

Lloris was an international same as Ndombele was, you also said about signings from French league and listed Njie so why not include Lucas?

Ah man we really need to get this guy going with us. If we can get his head straight then we have got a world class player! I hope he can make it!

Can’t say that there was a lot in that video that set my pulse running. Certainly not £50m+ worth of excitement

The guy is potentially phenomenal. Has showed flashes of brilliance ... But, if he doesn't want to be here then better to get rid sooner rather than later. Hopefully he does want to stay.

We really need to take a look at ourselves as fans. Here we have @richard_gleeson already saying it might be time for Sangare to go and we haven't even even gotten to the stage of a transfer where we are watching flight trackers. Incredible.

Happy your impressed mate. Assists and goals nil. And that was against a relegated team!

I don't really rate Kondogbia too highly, but for those who seem to rate these technically average, big lumps, wouldn't he make more sense than Sangare? He's proven than he's alright in a top league and Valencia are apparently skint. He's also 27, so more in line with the finished article type players we've been linked with (Doherty and Wilson) or just signed. Also we have Skipp as a young DM to develop.

With the way Valencia are going, they'd probably give him to us for free if kondogbia had beef with the owner of the club.
That's how their club captain went.
