He was the one who was pushing for us to sign Suarez but the trio of Redknapp/Ferdinand/Sherwood didn't deem him good enough & actually said he's too similar to VDV. Our strikers at that time was a out of sorts Keane, Pav, Crouch and Defoe who was going through his usual dry patch with us.....
