Everyone wants him, just doubt it's possible.

I'm curious. Why does his price drop significantly this year?
I get ya. I have not seen any of his games but I hear he's not settling to well. I wonder why?.......Oh yeah, you play in Russia Hulk

Wait a minute, I'm being to harsh on Hulk. I remember him saying he would wait until God told him which club to go to. It just so happens that he ended up going to the club that could pay him the most money. Funny that.
Actually he has been so shit its unbelievable, he is predictable in what he does when he cuts inside and shoots as hard as he can towards goal. To say everyone wants him is insane as he was alright at Porto but he always seemed limited. He is a stronger Defoe that plays on the wing. Spending £20mill would high for me tbh as you could get better for that money

I meant "everyone" meaning spurs fans. But judging by your assessment and overall opinion I was wrong even in that sense. :)

Honestly I watched him play for Zenit in one match and he had a nightmare, I couldn't believe he was a footballer let alone a £40million

He has always seemed a bit 1 dimensional whnever I've seen him. Would much rather Eriksen, or someone of that ilk

Villas-Boas is sufficiently aware of Tottenham's financial situation, though, to know that he is unlikely to be able to renew his working relationship with the Brazilian forward Hulk, who excelled for Villas-Boas at Porto and has declared his desire to leave Zenit St Petersburg for the Premier League.
"He was my player and scored 36 goals in one season but it's impossible he will make a move here because of the wages that he earns; they break our balance," said Villas-Boas of the player who joined Zenit for around £40m last summer and is a reported target for Chelsea. "He may have options in the summer but to a club like Tottenham his transfer fee is also impossible."

I can imagine it now, Hulk signing for a cut price of £10million whilst accepting £70k a week wages.

Never underestimate the bargaining skills of Levy; he doesn't take a no for a no ;) He'll start at offering Hulk £30k and then increase his offer a little every day until 31st of August...

It is utterly pointless trying to buy players from Russia as all the dirty money floating round their league makes it impossible to buy players at reasonable prices.

Is this AVB getting the ball rolling... Making it clear to Hulk he would be welcomed at Spurs with open arms, so long as he pushes through a transfer and has realistic wage demands. Very Fergie'esque.

Could this have something to do with his desire to leave??
"Hulk was the target of racial abuse by Zenit fans who opposed black players playing for the club. In September 2012, a fake bomb was found at the club's training ground, accompanied by a picture of the player and a note that read "Hulk out!""

I'd say he deffo wants out, but he's been heavily linked with Chelsea, which seems a more realistic destination.

The Mirror linking us with Hulk again... I personally can't see us paying their asking price which is bound to be insane. That said, Leandro and Hulk up front would be awesome.

Think it will be his wages that'll be insane. If he's having the nightmare that he is supposed to be having over there then they'll want rid - somehow...

If there's no obvious takers then a strange deal may materialise. Once again here we are (earlier in the thread) talking about a Brazillian international player and working out if he might be good enough for us. I know, I know there's the full back situations and how good some of these players have been in the PL but we're talking about someone in the team more often than not.
