If the club doesn't have staff to look after these highly paid and highly talented ( allegedly) foreign players we bring in then that is totally unprofessional, in fact it makes us look like a joke.

Some fans will pass these comment off as the mad ravings of a bitter man but a lot of agents and players will not.

He might have a point and the club should look into these allegations.
Or even not even look at them as 'allegations' so much ... Just do a little housekeeping & see if there's anything that can be taken from it. I guess it's difficult, there's a perception issue

How does one become allegedly foreign?

Sad to read this as I always had a soft spot for Gomes.

We certainly do churn through players and I think there are certain players who will wonder why they ever joined us.

Levy changing managers more times than he does his underwear hasn"t helped any new players to settle. He has to take some of the blame over this.

Someone ought to have warned Berbatov and Modric...turned out terribly for them too!

Good shot stopper at times but one of the most cowardly keepers I've seen. Watching him in a 50 50 or under a cross was lIke watching Peter Such at the crease against a fast bowler. Yes we should support players but he definitely had a fair shot at number 1. Did he hang around catching pay cheques when clearly no longer wanted or did DL price him out of a move? Can't remember.

No doubt he will bring his A-game, "how the fuck did he get to that?!" performance levels to the Lane when Watford come to visit and we suffer one of our perennial handful of shameful home defeats to atrocious opposition in the league. And then the next week he will be throwing them in his own net whilst simultaneously tripping on his own shoelaces when Arsenal/Chelsea/West Ham go to Vicarage Road. It's more certain than death or taxes.

Gomes was brilliant one minute and completely hopeless the next. I mean, he couldnt have been surprised that we replaced him with Brad and Lloris. Perhaps there is some truth in what he's saying, but the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. He had chances to leave earlier, but didnt because of wage demands. Meaning he was perfectly happy to just collect the money.

Funny how he says nothing about it until now, right before transfer season starts to heat up the summer that his new club, Watford, have just been promoted to the Premier League. Calculated move.

I miss the way he winced in pain at the slightest gust of wind or gentle summer breeze. It made me laugh every time.

He would know more than any of us to be honest. He played a major role in getting us to the Champions League, set a record for least goals conceded at home that season too. The media witch hunt played a huge role in getting him ostracised, and the fans like they do sucked it up. He did more good than bad.

Not surprised these that kind of noise coming from him tbh, I felt he was treated very very poorly by us

You must understand what an incredibly frustrating player he was. He was a brilliant reactionary shot stopper and pulled off many breathtaking saves which saved our arses a number of times, and then without any warnings, he'd throw one in his own net, or make schoolboy errors, so much so that he became a liability. I remember that painful game at home to Chelsea which must have made up the club's mind about him, once and for all. Miraculously saved a penalty and within a minute, gave away another one, which he let in.

I hate it when players shoot their mouths off about their former clubs. If he had so many problems with us, he should have fucked off a damn sight sooner than he did, but no, he hung on and on and on, on mega wages until he ran his contract down.

My advice to him would be to start behaving like a highly paid professional, keep his bloody gob shut and be respectful to all those Spurs fans who believed in him, bought the shirts with his name on the back and whom he let down so badly.

I'm looking forward to him playing at WHL again next season for Watford and us putting four past him. That should shut him up.

I believe he's partly right. I can't think of any EPL club, not to speak of a top club, that's frozen out as many players as Spurs have. This season alone the following players were "frozen" out: Ekotto, Kaboul (2nd time), Capoue and Ade (2nd time). Gomes was also more or less frozen out in his time. There is something (drastically) wrong when that many quality players are given the cold shoulder during just 1 season. Don't the club have resources/man-agement skills do set players "straight"?
On the other hand, Gomes himself was allowed to go to Brazil to find a club to be loaned out to but, apparently, refused to budge on his own wage demands - and that in the season leading up the WC in Brazil....when he stood a chance of at least making the squad.
He's made some of the best saves ever made at WHL and was a truly likable character but should be ready to bear some of the blame (although the blood thisty British press loved to stir up negatives about him for the smallest of mistakes and were determined to make his life as hard as possible....and many Spurs fans were more than ready to join the press' "campaign").
