What's new

Have we seen the best of Huddlestone or is he still rusty?

He hasnt come back the same player since before his injuries I hope he turns it around but he needs time but at the moment I rather go with Carroll

Some people say he would be better suited in the Italian league where the tempo is slower. I just dont see that myself. He isnt clever or cute enough to cope with the Italian players who would run rings around him.

I never really got him so I'm not being knee jerk though I do accept he did have a good season for us but he is so immobile its another head scratcher from AVB supposed fluid system. I can see why he doesn't want to play Sandro and Livermore together but surely Siggi is who I would imagine AVB would want? Personally it would be Carroll for me who has really impressed me this season in his few appearances. Just hope Dembele comes back and hits the ground running.

Never lived up to expectations, way too slow, too physically weak for his size, pings the odd long pass but more often than not misses target. Time for us to move on.

He's too slow and not agile enough. Centre of gravity is too high. Has trouble finding space when in possession and is too easy to get past when we are not In possession. Pity, because he can strike the ball better than most.

He should make way for youth.

That reminds me, which nutter was it who said if he went to Italy they would rave about him and compare him to Pirlo? :ROFLMAO:

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now and say rusty. It wasn't so long ago i remember him being very important to our passing game. He will be again.

Tom Carroll is showing a lot of promise. Hudd has had his fair share of opportunity. Time to let someone else prove they can step up...

I hope we have seen the last of him, i posted on here at the begining of the season that he would be gone by the end of it and got laughed at.

I still feel that will happen .

The penny has finally dropped with me regarding Huddlestone...just not up to it, for the level we want.

One above average pass a game just isn't good enough he suppose to be our play maker but doesnt do it defensively to slow and not powerful enough...times up Carroll please.

He would be a great lead for an ELO tribute band.

Jeff Lynne would be glad of the of the rest

Enough is enough, I admit I was looking forward to having him back in the squad but the fact of the matter is he isn't good enough and I don't think he ever will be. This was a good chance for him to prove himself and cement a place in the side but he blew it. I'd like to see Carroll given a go, I think at the very least he will have more hunger than Huddlestone.

That, my friend, is impossible.
